Arrived fast and in good condition. Plant well and keep watered, spread like wildfire.

Great product - arrived looking healthy!!!
The plugs arrived within 24 hours of order and the grass blades were green, they were damp so the roots didn’t dry out. Planted them today (within 24 hours of receipt). Couldn’t plant sooner as it was raining outside. Hope they do well. The instructions were very clear.

They are doing pretty good
At first look they looked stressed with some blades turning brown but I realize they have been in a box for two or three days and in hot trailers. I put them in the ground a day after I received them. They are still alive and two or three do have runners coming off them. I followed the instructions as well as I could with them and I’m hoping for the best. I do plan on ordering more this weekend. Bobby

Amazing quality plugs
So glad I seen these they sure beat dealing with seed. Really great quality plugs packaged nicely. Super healthy plugs were already trying to spread in the tray. Super fresh and great price for money. Roots were very established. Will report back after they have time to get established.

Beautiful plugs
First I received my order three days earlier than expected. Second I am supper impressed by how professional my little zoysia grass plugs looked and how green they are. I have ordered zoysia from other retailers throughout the years and this by far is 100% the best. Now is just wait and see how well they will do. I read reviews about how the zoysia looked yellow, well if you really know zoysia you know that when zoysia is dormant it does turn yellow. Zoysia in April it is still dormant, so Yes it is going to be yellow. Don’t let that deter you from getting yourself some zoysia. I wish I had taken pictures before I planted them so I can post here. It was super easy to plant, they looked super healthy and I am buying some more. My only complaint is that zoysia takes forever to spread, but this has nothing to do with the vendor but just nature. Please buy some zoysia and see how happy you are going to be… I might come back here and update with pictures.

Surviving My notoriously black thumb
The plugs arrived over a week earlier than expected and they were gorgeous. We opened the boxes and set the trays in the yard and watered for two days before we could plant. Planting was ridiculously easy and took no time at all. Our soil pH was ok so we set straight in without adding nutrients. A little sandy in that area though. Hubby eyeballed the first tray and planted too far apart but I filled in with the second. Most of the plugs are now approx 12 inches apart. We planted in an area we wanted to test first, reason for only two trays. Near an oak tree that gets direct and filtered sun from around noon until 6. We were not sure if it got enough sun given the coverage of that tree, and there are several other trees in our yard that posed the same threat. We watered every morning between 6 and 7 for three solid weeks and are approaching the end of week 4, we have watered every other day this week and for shorter duration (15 mins compared to 45). We intend to mow this weekend for the first time prior to planting the four additional trays we are expecting, since I do need to fill in a few more in this area. We have not lost a single plug, they are all very green still and most are spreading. We have 5 or 6 looking a little puny but they were deliberately placed near weeds and roots to test for strength. Still green, but possibly suffering. The weeds are growing with all the watering and I will now begin pulling them but I left them alone since realistically they will appear until these have filled in and I wanted real expectations for maintenance needs. We have ordered four more trays expected this week to squeak in before it's too late to plant. We live 25 minutes SE of the Raleigh in NC, have had very little rain since we planted these, and a great many days exceeding 95 degrees. These little suckers are survivors. Pictures taken three weeks apart so difficult to see a difference but enough in real life for my mailman to get excited about them after returning from a weeks vacation. Update April 8, 2018: It’s been a weird winter with not much spring yet but last week suddenly almost all of the plugs turned green. There are about a fourth of them struggling, but they are in a high runoff area but are slowly greening up. I’ll post more pictures after the last freeze is behind us. Very pleased to see them at this point. Ordering more next week.

Paid for Zoysia, that is sickly looking mix of zoysia and Bermuda grass!
Paid for Zoysia, got 20%+ Bermuda grass mixed in! (I used PlantAI to determine which were zoysia and which weren’t but you can see it without AI) Went back and forth with customer service, including taking pictures for 7 -8 straight days after I was told to give it intense sun and water. I really don’t understand how intense sun and water can genetically change Bermuda grass into Zoysia. Then I see that my complaint was closed. I went to re-open it, and then realized that for a $50 purchase they had me jumping through hoops wasting my valuable time! Beware,DO NOT BUY Here are close ups of my “Zoysia”! Then they tell me that they have a Bermuda grass farm several miles away Iso there no way it could cross contaminate the zoysia!! Btw the plugs I received were no where near the vibrant and healthy Zoysia that their picture portrays!!

Plugs are Zenith Zoysia - check variation before patching!
I ordered these plugs completely unable to tell what variant of Zoysia I was ordering based on the listing. The plugs had a card insert when they arrived that indicate they are Zenith Zoysia. Great, now I know AFTER the fact. My yard is Emerald Zoysia so they are not visually compatible. If the listing was more clear on this description, I would not have wasted my money buying the wrong variant. As far as the product itself, the grass arrive in great shape, thick texture, a robust green color, and healthy condition. I wouldn’t call $50 for 2.5 sq feet of tiny plugs a “great value” though.
