For Japanese brand Pilot (namiki) single cartridge fountain pen, for 0ml ink, screw type, Pilot CON-40 ink converter, screw type. Package weight: 0.0 lbs. Package Dimensions: 11.938"L x 0.508"H x 2.54"W Review: These are my preferred converter for Pilot fountain pens - I use demonstrator (clear) fountain pens most often, and I love that these converters are clear so that you can easily see the ink color and level inside. They only hold 0.5ml each, but that is perfect for me, as I frequently sample different inks and don't want to refill an entire 1ml cartridge when I don't even know yet whether I like the ink or not. I use a lot of these, because I have a whole slew of Pilot fountain pens (everything from Kakuno, to Penmanship, and Metropolitan) inked up at any given time, and right now, these 5-packs are at a great price (under $17) when I see other sites selling these converters regularly for $6-$9, individually. I'll keep buying these as long as they remain this affordable. Review: Genuine Pilot, Con 40 converters, at a value price - These converters will work in any PILOT pen that is designed to work with a Con 40 converter. I use them in Pilot Metropolitan and Kakuno pens. Have never had an issue with leakage.

It's small, but does the job
Capacity isn't great and I can never seem to get it to fill 100%. I do experience a lot of liquid evaporation, but I'm not sure if thats the converter or the pen at fault (Kakuno and Metropolitan). Pretty sure it's the converter, since I inked another Kakuno with a cartridge and it's doing fine. It does feel a bit flimsy as well, but for the price it makes sense. Easy to clean.

Not completely satisfied
The product does work but I’m not satisfied with its performance. I have piston type converters for other brand of fountain pens (Parker and Mont Blank). I’m able to fill 80 to 90% of the converter volume when I use these. Con 40 has a smaller diameter and is not as tall as the other converters I have. I am only able to fill 60 to 70%. So ink capacity is small. This translates to having to refill more frequently. Refilling is a messy job and always result in some wasted ink (since I need to dab excess ink away from the nib area) I don’t like this converter. I plan to refill empty cartridges with syringe instead. Bigger ink capacity and less wasted ink due to having to dab the nib after refill.

these are poorly designed
This product works great with bottle ink and a syringe. As is they are terrible at sucking bottled ink through the pen. The syringe I use is a 3ml animal model. Works great. The 2 reasons to buy this converter: Clear barrel to see ink quantity and the screw can push ink up through the pen to eliminate dry starts. Just remember a syringe is a must. Fast shipper.

Got a pack for all my Pilot Metropolitans
So much better than that stupid little sack cartridge converter that comes with the pen. Probably holds more ink, too. And I can see what's in there.

Perfect for all Pilot Fountain Pen lovers
This is the smaller capacity screw type piston converter. Very well made and the crystal clear acrylic is classy looking, not cheap. These work great in both inexpensive and more expensive Pilot fountain pens. Highly recommend.

Converter for Pilot Pens
Instead of using the throw away ink cartridges, use this reusable ink cartridge. Use any ink in them.
