Best IWB holster that I have ever owned!
Got this for my Ruger American Compact 45 pistol and it fits perfectly. Nicely snugged once the pistol is in it and most likely wont fall out unless someone hangs you upside down and shake you....lol. It's so stealthy and concealable. Never thought concealing a .45 was possible until I bought this holster and it's great quality in general for such an affordable price. Definitely best bang for your buck! This Holster is very well made... One a scale of one through 5, I'd give it a 4.
Why did I not give it a 5? Because of a problem I've seen on a number of the In-The-Pants style of holsters. If you look at the photo just above the ruler, you will see that they attached a separate piece of leather at the top of the holster to keep the upper end of the Gun from making contact to the flesh. Well, because they designed it this way, the bottom of the attached piece of leather, unless you're wearing a long T-Shirt, to protect your skin, starts to irritate the flesh rather quickly once you start walking. Having tested it out on a walk just short of one mile, by the time I got back home, there was a red mark, a line about 1/4" wide on the lower right side of my stomach... Why they keep making this same mistake on the (Flesh-Side) of the holsters is beyond me because that addition piece of leather was not necessary in the first place, period... They need to use (Only One) piece of leather on the flesh side of the holster in the first place. That (single piece) of leather should be high enough to keep the top part of the Gun entirely away from the flesh as well. I am only slightly over weight, yet I still had a sore spot on my stomach when I got home... Seriously, if you are considerably over weight like the magority of the population, sadly, this Holster will leave you hurting... Once again, when are they going to understand the need for just (One Single Piece) of leather on the FLESH SIDE of their (In The Pants Holsters??? Again though, because of the quality, this Holster will most likely out live those that purchase it....
