works amazinly
i used an a28 i believe with this to get an old film camera to work. works and lights up, easy to use. the metal part is the + side so if you are confused about which way it went in, like i was, it is simple :)

Use it properly, metal end on cap
Adapter works but too expensive. To properly use, insert batteries using correct terminals (+-) but the metal end of adapter should touch the cap of the camera compartment, not the spring inside.

Doesn't work
As a few others have stated, the metal doesn't protrude so the adapter doesn't make contact as it should. The battery is also a bit loose, but that doesn't matter since the metal portion won't make contact.

I got for my 35 mm 1970s camera because the batteries we’re discontinued and it fit perfectly

I was unsure about this battery adapter but since the battery is no longer made, it was worth a shot. The camera I needed it for had power and it worked as intended.
