Great
I love this radiator, I have it on a smart plug in my bedroom so just before bed I can turn it on, in a timer, with my phone and it will be perfect when I go up. This warms up quickly and as it's small, it fits anywhere. As only use it in winter I can store it in a corner and it's not in the way. You have to realise though it is small so it's not going to warm a big room up. I only use it around my bed so I get a burst of heat to start me off for the night.

Reliably keeps a room warm
Really efficient, high quality oil-filled radiator. Has been superb in my conservatory during this winter. The thermostatic control is simple to use and works properly. Good quality finish. Guaranteed for two years - register on Russell Hobbs site.

Do not buy!
I purchased my heater at the end of October and, like other purchasers have found if you read the reviews, it started leaking in January. It left a pool of clear liquid underneath it and drips around the front base where the cable exits. Russell Hobbs customer service told me that it was the protective film covering the heater which was coming off (apparently as it should), and the appliance just needed a wipe down with a rag. At no point had I ever felt the appliance needed a wipe down. Over a number of e-mails which included my photos, they refused to believe the heater is faulty and possibly dangerous and won't replace it or give me my money back, ultimately saying I must now go back to the retailer. I'm not sure why a heater which appears to shed a 'protective coating' into an oily puddle which could leave a carpet stain (luckily mine was on a laminate flooring and then I've since sat it on kitchen roll) is acceptable anyway? It's a shame because it was quiet and effective for its size and cost, but dealing with Customer Services is slow and tedious and ultimately I hit a brick wall. Be warned.

Compact Heater That Warms Quickly and Runs Economically
I bought two of these ready for winter after realising my current heaters were far too expensive to run. After some research into more economical options, this seemed the best fit — and so far I’m impressed. They heat up very quickly and give off a steady warmth. At 650W they’re designed for smaller rooms, which is perfect for my studio space, and I expect the output will be ample once the cold weather sets in. The one thing it lacks is a built-in timer, so I’ve paired mine with timer plugs to automatically switch them on before I arrive. The compact size makes them easy to move around, and they don’t dominate the room. For anyone worried about running costs, this looks like a much more efficient choice compared with larger, more power-hungry heaters. The thermostat also means they click on and off, saving more energy than heaters which just keep going. If you need a simple, affordable heater for a small space, this is a great option to have ready for the colder months.

Don't know how I lived without it. Perfect for a small office.
I work from home in a fairly small office room that faces away from the sun, so is especially cold around this time of year. I have built-in convector heaters which cost a fortune to run, and ended up opting for localised heating in the room with a fan heater. As ever, the problem with that is that it's stinking hot while it's on, and then the moment the thermostat kicks in and turns it off, the room is freezing cold again. But then I found this oil-filled heater on Amazon Warehouse deals for about £20 - what a steal! This is exactly what I needed. The first thing I noticed is that on the max (3) power setting, it doesn't really heat up the room. I think it's because the thermal cutoff kicks in before it's properly warm, and/or stays off for too long so it cools down again. The technique I found works flawlessly is to run on max power from cold, and as soon as the top of the fins are too hot to touch I turn it down to the lowest power setting, with the thermostat just over 50%. At this point, I can just leave it alone all day and it keeps my chilly room comfortably and consistently warm, with low power usage compared to other heaters. Even better, because of the oil's heat retention, it turns on much more periodically than the alternatives, while still kicking out that lovely warmth regardless. I also love that it's on wheels, so you can move it around the house if you need to. The one thing I would not buy it for is if you are using it as a bedroom heater. Tried it once, and the loud thermal cutoff click woke me up every time, so had to turn it off in the end.

Not good for large rooms
Looks good and easy to assemble. Auto cut kicks in too quickly and so make it ineffective for a large room. Will be ok for small rooms.

Keeps room warm and toasty
I like this heater a lot. I've previously used fan heaters, and it's always made me nervous as they use a lot of electricity and can be dangerous, especially as they're so cheaply made nowadays and lack safety features than used to come as default. This felt like an investment by comparison, but it's one I'm glad I made. It hardly costs anything to run, and it's safe. I can walk away from it for a few hours at a time and not worry. The only negative I would say about it is it takes hours to warm up a whole room by itself, so it's not very effective if you need a quick blast, but the heat it does produce lasts a lot longer than a fan heater. I find it's best for prolonging heat, so I'll put the main heating on in the morning then this heater means it doesn't have to go on again and it'll keep me toasty at my desk all day. It also feels very sturdy in construction, and I don't feel like it's going to need to be replaced after a year of use. I feel it was well worth my money.
