I’ve always wanted to learn how to drum a speed bag. I knew I’d be more likely to practice and actually learn if the bag was easily accessible. We mounted this in a doorway adjacent my home office. It’s great for a burst of cardio or for stress management after a tense conference call. Hubs is 6’, and I’m 5’6”. The bag is the perfect height for him. It's a bit high for me (bottom of bag is at my eye/nose level). I’m doing fine, but I also have a low step that gives me the additional 2-3 inches as needed. Actually, sneakers would add 1-2 inches if I’d wear them in the house, Yes, there is an optional height adjustment bar available, but then the ball would be too low for hubs and he'd hit his hand on the board. As is, it does work for both of us. When we got the EZ Speedbag, there were two pins missing. No biggie—I contacted ReaShape via Amazon and Chris (shop owner, inventor, and really nice guy) sent the pins out directly. Great customer support and service! edited to add: I found a solution for my height issue! I have 24" x 24" interlocking play mats that I use for blocking knitted projects. They're 1/2" thick. I make 2x4 strips and stack five layers, and height issue is resolved.

We bought this for our 16 year old son for Christmas. We all LOVE it! My husband easily assembled and hung it. It is really good quality. All three of our kids (aged 12-16) use it constantly, It was relatively easy to figure out and they are improving their endurance and speed each day. One of our brackets broke. My husband emailed the company and they quickly sent us out a replacement. I was pleased to see that they stand by their product. We are extremely pleased with this product. After seeing some reviews, I decided upon this speedbag. It's simple to put together, pretty sturdy which is surprising, and works well. I was really surprised by its performance. It's very sturdy, doesn't rattle as long as you keep the top brackets tight. The bag leaks a little but I just fill it before I use it. It isn't actually as easy to install as it shows but that might be because my door stops are wider than the notch in the bracket intended to slide over it (it's an older home, not the fault of the product). If the brackets fit over the door stops properly, it probably would be easier to install. One thing to keep in mind is it's only for XS size speedbags. I didn't have any trouble getting started on it. I do feel like I'd get a better workout with a bigger bag but it's supposed to be used with the XS bags. I'm pretty happy with this purchase overall and it's a great way to save space. I have it installed in the doorway to my home office and hit it everytime I go to the PC. It's addicting.

I've had this speed bag for about a month now. It is a very stable base for small to medium bags. It's too small to support a large bag well. I had a blowout on the initial bag provided. After contacting the manufacturer, they told me it had a lifetime warranty and promptly sent me a free replacement. I have been very pleased with both the equipment and customer service. The base mounts near the upper portion of the doorway. This may keep it pretty high if you have tall doorways. I found it necessary to use an aerobic step as a stand to get me to the proper relative height. After building up my stamina, I use this step to both punch and step up/down at the same time. It is necessary to screw in the wedges on both sides. This gives the two side braces something to push against when adjusting the upper bracket turn buckle. After figuring that part out, I was able to make the base very solid. It is a well built product for home use. I question how easy it would be to travel with as hotels frown on screwing things into their door frames. If there's another, non-obtrusive means of doing this, I'd like to see it.

I'll start by saying that once I got it setup it works great. Very little recoil and very stable. Here's the bad. Trying to set the bag up the instruction images were low quality and hard to see. I was missing a retaining pin and found it rolling around in the box rather than the bag with the rest of the fittings. Next, even moreso annoying, the open bar ends were warped making it extremely difficult to fit the door stoppers into each end. I couldnt do it without harshly twisting them in. Setup was not easy. Having to hold the platform up and try to twist each handle perfectly was a difficult task. After 20 mins i got the system setup. I'm happy with the purchase but frustrated with the lack of quality control. Update: After a couple months the ball and hook broke. I’m going to contact the manufacturer to see if this can be replaced with a metal ball and hook or if I just have to trash the whole thing.

Customer service is great. But there was a defect in the included speed bag and I contacted the company and they sent two additional ones. But today, 6/12/20 I started using one of the new ones and it developed a leak within 30 minutes of normal usage. The setup works well and it’s fun to use. But the speed bag just isn’t that good. From the video you will see that I cut two strips from my exercise mat for the top part. It works better that way. The set up is a little annoying, but you can still do it yourself. I don't use this as a pull up bar so I did not use the screw in brackets. After setting up, I would say the minimum height for using this properly is about 5'7, which is my height. The bottom of the included speed bag is about eye level with me. The speed bag itself is small. So if you are a beginner and have never hit a speed bag before this can be a bit frustrating. I know when I began speed bag training I was using a medium or large one and it made a huge difference. Definitely a good item to keep some of your speed bag abilities focused and to keep you busy.
