My family's microwave started malfunctioning. We believe someone in the household put something metal in the microwave causing the waveguard to become damaged. Nevertheless, it was sparking like crazy. Since the microwave is only a year old, it was two days out of warranty. Did some google searching and came across this product. Package arrived and no one, including me, had any faith it would work. Wasn't an exact fit but close enough to where I could trim the tabs a bit. Replaced the damaged waveguard with this product. My original mica paper was burnt, maybe from food residue. It was occasionally catching fire. Hence, I was looking for replacement. This comes at the perfect size as my original one. Excellent! Last time I ordered was Nov 2024 and microwave was saved! Fast forward another year, and microwave saved again! Don't throw away bc it is flashing and sparking! I purchased these after my old wave guide became damaged, causing arcing within the unit. (I have a small Comfee microwave, if that info is helpful to anyone here.) These popped right in and I didn't even have to cut them. I also didn't have to punch a hole at the bottom so the plastic peg in my microwave would hold the wave guide in place -- it stayed on its own. Now my microwave works perfectly again! These are very good quality, quite sturdy. I'm glad they come in a pack of five so I can have them on hand if/when this happens again in the future.
