Good strong wooden toilet seat... Nice glossy finish... However, the same rubbish fittings you get with every seat these days... Half a dozen visits and you're sliding about all over the place... Think I may need to buy some toilet seat buffers. Failing this, I might try a seat belt.

Good for the money, looks good. Yes it is slightly wobbly, but its a toliet seat. Who cares just be careful while sitting on it!

It's not easy choosing toilet seats. They tend to either be really cheap plastic thin and horrible, or mega expensive. So finding these toilet seats at a reasonably price, in a modern shaker style, is really good. I bought one for our old house, just before having to move (bad timing), so I've bought another for our current abode. The seat itself is flat, which I find more comfortable than a shaped seat (coz I have a big bum). It's thick and sturdy. It doesn't wiggle around all over the place. The only thing I would say is to put the lid down rather than drop it, as it makes quite a bang otherwise.

Does as it should

Bought this item in October ( ie just over two months ago) but although the seat and lid are sound quality, the hinge fittings are plastic threaded studs & nuts. It proved almost impossible to tighten sufficiently to stop it sliding around in use then regrettable one of the upper fittings holding the end of the threaded stud completely separated from the hinge. The metal used is only wafer thin and appears to have little more than a decorative effect and the threaded recess holding the stud sheared off from the cover plate! I have just replaced the assembly with a wooden seat with a secure metal and rubber hinge fitting ( manufactured by Croydex) which is far more robust although a little more expensive. (To sum up :- It looks okay but the hinges and fittings are unstable and a little fragile)

This looked a lovely toilet seat and I thought it was wood, well it was Mdf , which is compressed chip board not a piece wood. also after a week and a half the fixtures snapped off the back where they were fixed to the toilet bowl. I could not send it back because we had used it and it was quite cheap, so i suppose you get what you pay for

Strong seat, fits my rear well

Not sure if my toilet is wider than most, almost sure it isn't but this seat is quite narrow and the hole in the middle is quite small too. Weird I know, but it's the best way I can describe it. Other than that the seat is well made and great quality.
