This was used by a carer for an elderly relative , but was difficult to attach . It needed tape or similar to attach . I didn't try to cut it and ended up using an alternative. In principle it seems like a good idea , but it's quite expensive so didn't want to mess with it . I don't know if it can be cut , or if that would cause it to ' leak ' . Sorry this is not more helpful .
