Glasstic Shatterproof Glass Water Bottle - 16oz - Double Walled - Flip Cap Sports Water Bottle

(I'm writing this under my husbands account.) My husband got this for me for Christmas, and I LOVE this water bottle. I prefer glass water bottles for the taste, but I've had many and most of them shatter the first or second time you drop them. One I had recently, shattered into about a billion peices while my husband was just washing it in the sink (it only fell about 6 inches), my husband got some pretty nasty cuts on his hand, and after that, I was seriously considering going back to plastic, when he found this awesome water bottle. Firstly, I'm sure it's possible to break this water bottle, but it would be a heck of a lot harder than a normal completely glass bottle. The outside layer is plastic. It's easier to grip than glass, (so less likely to fall in the first place) and has a little give to it. There's an inner glass bottle, that holds your beverage, and it's only touched by glass, so you get the great taste (which, is the first reason to get a glass bottle). The double bottle also acts to insulate cold water (and does a pretty awesome job). Personally, I'm a fan of the open mouth water bottles (like this one) vs. straws or the pop-up caps. This bottle's mouth is just the right size and comfortable to drink out of. I like the top [lid] as well. *note to first time users, it flips ALL the way back. like 270 degrees, so it's lying against the side of the bottle completly out of your way. I didn't know this at first and thought it obstructed my ability to drink, but just keep pushing it back (it has two hinges, so it kindof stops, then you have to push it a little harder to get it to go the rest of the way) The [lid] locks as well. I like this because I carry my watter bottle in my lunch bag, and sometimes my purse, to work, so knowing that it won't pop open and drench everything is pretty nice. The bottle has a handle as well, which makes it easier to carry when your hands are full. One last thing: I can't figure out why, but most of the seals on my other glass water bottles aren't perfect. They leak. This one is perfect. I'm totally comfortable putting in my purse with my iPhone (when it's locked of course) All in all, I don't have one bad thing to say about this water bottle, and will be replacing all of my other water bottles with this one as they break. (it shouldn't take too long.)

I just got this today so I haven't had a chance to use it yet. If anything changes, I'll edit my review. But for now, let me say that I did a LOT of searching before purchasing this item and this looks to me like the most toxic-free water bottle on the market. The glass is lead-free, and the rest is as described on the item's page. It is easy to disassemble to clean, and is listed as 100% shatterproof! It's attractive, easy to handle, fits into my car's cupholder, and I can't wait to start using it. The flip top has a lock! You can lock it if you're putting it in your gym or other bag and it'll remain securely closed and leak proof. It has three different silicone rings that can be very easily removed for cleaning. I don't know yet if it retains warmth or sustains cold when in use, but I'll know soon enough. I'm not sure I would put hot drinks in it though, and I certainly wouldn't put it in my freezer, but that's just me. If that's something you think you want to do, I would contact the manufacturer.

I was looking for a glass water bottle with a flip top (my current water bottle is difficult to turn the top while working out to get water). This bottle met my expectations. -It has a glass interior so your water doesn't come in contact with the plastic. yet, the glass is protected by a plastic (BPA free) sleeve that disassembles to wash. -The flip top folds all the way back, so you don't get hit in the nose by the top while drinking. -It has a nice feature that locks the lid into place when you need it to be doubly secure (it clicks into place normally and hasn't come open yet ... and doesn't leak like other bottles). -I'm into colors and this one has many to choose from (I got the blue and love it). -It fits into the car cup holder and the hook that flips up allows me to carry it easily. -The company was quick to ship and I received the water bottle within the time they said it would be here. Now here's the ONLY thing I don't like about the bottle ... the 16 ounces is smaller than I hoped for. My current water bottle is 30 ounces and I thought I could get by with less. In the end, I want a larger bottle that I don't have to refill so often. All in all, it's a good bottle. It would be great to make it to accommodate more ounces somehow without making it gigantic. Lol ..

I've had these bottles for about three months,(bought my first one in April - then bought two more) and this bottle is amazing. It is leak proof, it is durable, it is so easy to clean because the whole bottle comes apart. And I mean the whole bottle, and you can sanitize every part. The lock feature is very useful, has saved me from a ton of messes when I knock the bottle over - because I'm a total klutz. The bottle itself is stable and doesn't tip easy, but when I do knock the bottle over I know I'm okay. I feel safe to have drinks near my desktop, as long what I'm drinking out of one of these bottles, and locking the top. It's really perfect, for me. With this bottle you can have the best of both worlds. I prefer to drink from glass because it doesn't affect the taste, but I'm too klutzy and break glass bottles eventually. This meant I was drinking out of plastic (and reusing the bottles as long as I could) and those tasted terrible, and was not environmentally sound. With this bottle that is just not a problem. Glass protected inside shatterproof plastic. Best of both worlds, and better for the environment. Even better? The company will replace any part you need for free if any part of your bottle breaks. They will pay shipping and everything. If you are looking for a bottle to end all need for other bottles, you found it. What are you waiting for?
