Favorite tool to show off!
I Love this thing! But like others have said - It is VERY STRONG and can definitely brake bolts if not careful. VERY LOUD . And can bust your knuckles if not careful. However it does have a power/speed control that is very easy to adjust with a flat head. And it has great trigger control. It is EXTREAMLY STURDY , powerful, and I use it all the time! Mostly big jobs like timing cover bolts, intake manifold and rear valve covers on transvers engines. I used it today on some hard to reach transmission mount bolts. Honestly have no complaints, just wear ear protection, and be careful when tightening bolts.

This tool is heavy duty. It gets the job done and has high torque.

Great ratchet.
Great tool, but, oddly enough, more powerful than advertised. Will break ungraded bolts if not careful. Head is slightly larger, but understandably so due to the power it packs. Perfect for transverse engines, steering column spline bolt, high suspension work.

Why plastic on head? Astro let down 😞
The plastic head really does hurt it for me. Would be nice if you could warranty it, or get replacement parts. But when the head eventually cracks, it’s trashed. I prefer my air tools to last forever. Only the top of the ratchet head is plastic, the rest is metal. I really don’t know why they did this. But it is a fun, powerful tool to use. Would be a 10/10 if it had a complete metal head. It makes a good sound.

Functional, But Poor Build Quality – Snapped Mid-Job (See Photo)
I bought the Astro Tools 1120 ONYX 22 Inch Long Reach 3/8" Air Ratchet for some tight-access work on my car. While it generally performed as expected in terms of torque and reach, I was really disappointed by the build quality, especially at the top of the tool. During use, the plastic head housing "snapped off" right in the middle of a job. Totally killed my momentum and forced me to switch tools just to finish. For a product that markets itself as heavy-duty, having such a critical part made of plastic feels like a serious design flaw. I've attached a photo so you can see exactly what broke — not something you want to happen with a tool you’re counting on. If you're planning on light use, maybe it'll hold up, but for any serious work, I'd think twice.
