I’ve been into pools since 1999, so I know a thing or two—and I have to say, this Bestway Steel Pro MAX 12' x 30" Above Ground Pool is a solid 10/10. The setup was super easy. With two people, it took about 45 minutes from start to finish, and everything went together smoothly with clear instructions. The size is perfect for families or just cooling off on hot days, and the frame feels sturdy and well-made. The depth is just right at around 26.5 inches of water—great for kids and adults alike. Now, the one thing to note: the pump that comes with it isn’t strong enough. If you're just dipping your toes into pool ownership, it might do for the short term, but I definitely recommend upgrading to a more powerful pump for better water circulation and filtration. As someone who’s been around pools for decades, I can confidently say a stronger pump will make a world of difference in keeping the water clean and clear. Overall, awesome pool for the price, easy setup, and a summer must-have—just plan to invest in a better pump!

Very nice product, from what I see. It’s on a flat level area I made, on a mat. I can’t wait for it to be time to use it. Looks and feels like the liner is durable, I wish the suction jets were spaced further apart and at different heights and that the filter pump was stronger more gpm. For cleaning and for additional uses, for the price I’m extremely happy. Further review upon actual use. Thank you.

I carefully set up the pool and filled it with water. Everything looked great! Excited to have the grandkids come over to swim. Then I noticed a small hole squirting water. I reviewed the instructions and they said to use the underwater vinyl patch…nothing included. Tried calling Bestway to see if they could send me a patch. They told me to talk to Amazon . So now I have to figure out a way to return this stupid pool or purchase a vinyl patch and hope it works and the hole doesn’t get bigger! Sheesh!

Pool was easy to set up with just me and my 6-year old son. Filter was also easy to set up and works well. That said, noticed after two days that the water level had dropped halfway. Found a leak along the seam of the pool. Will have to completely drain in order to patch and then refill or keep filling with water. I have city water, not well water, so either way is an expensive option. UPDATE: I didn’t drain and refill, just added water. After the initial leak, pool stopped leaking on its own. May have been the initial stretch of first fill? Not sure, but it stopped and stayed full the rest of the summer without water being added.

I was looking for something durable, and the Steel Pro MAX has been a success. The metal frame is much better than the inflatable pools that are punctured the first time. It rides fast and the size of 12 feet is ideal for a medium-sized patio. The shipment was fast and everything arrived in perfect condition. Highly recommended!" I recommend putting a tapestry or canvas underneath to protect the base.

We've used this pool for one summer now and the first thing to not is the pump is TRASH. I luckily already had a skimmer pump that I ended up putting on this pool which cleared it up immediately, but did require cutting a hole in the side of the pool. The pump that comes with it did nothing to filter out anything or circulate the water hardly at all which even shocking and adding chlorine wasn't enough to keep algea from growing/staying in the water even constantly running and with a brand new dilter cartridge, so it was basically unusable until getting a better pump/filter. I'm also a bit skeptical about the size as one I had from a different brand previously was definitely several inches deeper than this one claims to be even though both were advertised to be the same depth. But, that being said, with proper maintenance this pool should last a few summers and my family of 4 are all about to swim and enjoy it together, it filled in just a few hours, the liner seems pretty durable, and the frame (while not entirely metal as the name suggests) is decently sturdy enough . If you like me are looking for a budget friendly pool for your family, I would recommend this one as long as you are prepared to also get a better pump as well.
