great upgrade for my bandsaw
My imported 14" bandsaw motor failed. I replaced it with this motor. One of the best things I ever did to upgrade a tool. Baldor motors are top shelf! even though my saw is imported, and the Baldor motor is made in the USA, the match-up was simple and mounting was perfect. The best thing is the power upgrade! My Tiwanease motor was rated at 1 h.p. as well, but it has no where near the torq and power this baldor has! I highly recommend this motor for someone who wants to upgrade a machine that needs a 1 hp.,1725 rpm motor. The extra torq and power makes this motor great for resawing boards, which is one of the most intensive demands on a bandsaw.

Single Phase motor
I bought this as a new motor for my Powermatic 90 and Delta HD lathes. It is a tight fit and in retrospect I should have gotten the smaller 3/4hp verion. But Baldor is the best motor out there! Top of the line US quality.
