Drive Medical Tub Transfer Bench for Bathtub, Height Adjustable

This was needed badly for my wife after getting out of surgery and released to our home. I looked at many and was worried about the sizes and this one was just a little smaller than most. After assembly it was exactly what was needed for our small bathroom. Was really easy to assemble even without directions. The back support is able to be fitted in 180 degree installs. There are NO crews needed as it uses pop pin secure connections. Very adjustable with marking for height for each leg and back support. Was worried about water leaking onto the floor when the shower curtain was drawn, but to my surprise it did Not Leak. The seat area has holes for drainage are not padded having no-slip grip texture surfaces that is firm but comfortable. It dries quickly and is easy to just tilt from of the tub out of the way. The bench does Not slip on the tub or floor surfaces. The large suction cups have some serious suction so note that (lifted my vinyl flooring up slightly). As a new amputation person, still learning my abilities, the chair I bought is sturdy. I bought it as a returned chair. It was still in great condition, easy to assemble, even though it came with no instructions or pictures of how it looked. I'd recommend it to others .

This has been amazing. I broke my leg and damaged my knee this has allowed me to shower alone. I’ve had it a week now and the suction cups are holding and it stays in place. The handle is tall enough to let me stand and balance if I want to and the bench lets me get in and out safely.

This is a large, exceptionally sturdy, well-made shower bench. I purchased it to help me bathe safely while recovering from two anticipated consecutive foot surgeries. Unfortunately, I had to return it—not because of its quality, but because it simply did not fit my bathtub the way I had expected. My original plan was to position part of the bench outside the tub so I could sit down and then slide safely into the tub. However, it was not long enough to accomplish that in my particular bathroom. At the same time, it was too large to fit completely inside my bathtub. A few inches of the bench and one pair of legs had to remain outside the tub, preventing my shower curtain from closing properly and allowing water to escape onto the bathroom floor. Had the bench extended far enough to serve as a transfer bench, I would have been willing to make arrangements to close that gap because it would have provided a real benefit during every shower. As it was, however, the portion extending outside the tub served no useful purpose while still creating the problem of water escaping onto the floor. I want to emphasize that I am not deducting points because it didn't fit my bathtub. Every bathroom is different, and this is simply a matter of dimensions. In terms of construction, this is a rock-solid, well-made bench that inspired confidence the moment I assembled it. If this bench fits your bathtub or shower stall properly, I believe you will be very pleased with it. My advice is simply to measure your bathing area carefully before ordering to ensure the dimensions are compatible. For the right installation, I think this is an excellent product.

This saved my life when I broke my femur. My son had no problem putting it together. This is durable and stable and with a broken femur I was able to bathe myself in the shower and wash my hair with no problem. It is stable, held my weight fine and I could stand up by holding on to it to get to a chair to dry my hair and put on my makeup and brush my teeth

This was a great addition to my recovery from a complete knee replacement surgery recently. I was able to sit on it and maneuver my legs into the bathtub to take a shower. Could not have done that without the help of this seat! Recommend this to anyone needing that type of support.

Worked well for when I needed it after surgery.. fit was a little weird in my tub, but that because it’s a jacuzzi tub, so shape was different than a normal tub. Still worked I felt very safe using it, stability great value

I purchased this transfer tub bench to assist with mobility limitations in the shower. When it arrived, I found it easy to assemble and adjust to fit my bathtub. Compared to other options I've tried, this transfer bench provides significantly more support due to the extended seat, backrest and siderail. The transfer feature makes it easier and safer to get in and out of the shower. The backrest offers additional support for the back while showering, and the side rail serves as a secure point of contact, enhancing comfort. It also accommodates different body weights and shapes, having been tested with both a 110-pound and a 250-pound adult. These features significantly provide more stability and safety during use than any other bench. The bench is somewhat bulky and awkward to remove from the tub, but it is manageable. One tip for using the transfer bench in the tub is to adjust the curtain properly to prevent puddles from forming on the bathroom floor. I've found tucking the shower curtain liner under your thigh helps direct the water down into the tub, allowing it to drain effectively. Overall, I am very satisfied with the safety, stability, and ease it provides during bathing. I would recommend it to individuals with mobility limitations who can shower independently or with assistance.

When you need one of these in a hurry you're greatful for fast as hopping! Instructions were not great but it's not a difficult product to assemble with common sense and a picture of the finished product from the components provided. In use it is SLIGHTLY wobbly,but they all are,we have used several different types and quality is all about the same. Look for big stable feet and legs that splay slightly outwards for greater stability than those with legs that are straight vertical. This bench works on its tallest settings for our old 1980's bathtub surround with sliding glass shower doors without having to remove the doors or damage the tub. Post surgery and unstable on her feet this allowed my mother to stay in her own home and still be able to shower safely without costly and untimely home renovations. Post surgery she is unable to raise her arms and is receiving aid from a medical personal support worker. This bench was recommended by her PSW and even though she may only need it for a couple of months it is well with the cost. It's a good quality for the price and is sturdy enough in use to be considered safe and practical. Mum can lift this herself and install into the tub by pivoting on the two outside legs to carry the weight. She's in her 80's and just had surgery and can manage this just three weeks later. So yes I endorse this shower bench product. Money well spent when it was very tight and we needed it immediately.👍👍

La calidad es buena. Sin embargo, el respaldo de la silla ofrecería más apoyo y estabilidad si fuera curvo, ya que es muy fácil que la persona pierda el equilibrio. Pero incluso cuando estaba completamente plegada, las patas que van dentro de la bañera eran demasiado largas, porque la base de la bañera es aproximadamente 2 pulgadas más alta que el piso del baño. La altura mínima de las patas interiores era de 18 pulgadas, por lo que para mantenerla nivelada, las patas exteriores tuvieron que extenderse a lo cual es demasiado alto para la silla de ruedas. Ahora funciona bien. Observo que todos los bancos de ducha en Amazon tienen la misma longitud de patas, por lo que tendrás el mismo problema con otras marcas.
