What is the differnce between a Texas instrument TI 30X second calculator and the BA 2 Plus Financial calculator?

The BA 2 plus is a better overall calculator when it comes to the field of finance, where the TI 30X is tailored more towards statistics and advanced scientific functions. It can easily help you find NPV of annuities, annuity dues, and mixed streams. Also with the right understanding of the calculate you are able to quickly calculate investment decision criteria such as the IRR (internal rate of return) and PI (profitability index). It is a finance major's best friend .In short if you are more towards finance you want the BA 2 PLUS, and If you are not taking it for the field of finance and more towards science and statistics then you would want to go for the 30X. Hope this helps and good luck!

Does anyone have trouble with the 1 button? No matter how many times I press the button, that's the only digit that won't work.

I have had trouble. Had to buy a new one.

Does the job every time!

The Texas Instruments BA II Plus is the quintessential tool for anyone working in finance, accounting, or business. This calculator is known for its user-friendly layout and its ability to handle complex financial calculations with ease. It's a true workhorse, perfect for tasks like calculating the time value of money, cash flow analysis, and bond and depreciation calculations. The build quality is solid and durable, designed to withstand years of use in an office or classroom setting. Its standard black finish and clear display make it a professional and reliable companion for exams or daily tasks. While it specializes in financial functions, it also performs all standard mathematical operations, making it an all-in-one device for students and professionals. I recommend this product.

Great calculator for financial exams

Excellent calculator overall with straightforward financial functions and a very long battery charge (hasn't run out for me yet). I used it primarily for actuarial exam FM-I would highly recommend using this calculator if you are taking that exam or a similar exam, as it trivializes or simplifies many problems which would otherwise be tricky. The functionality isn't intuitive by any means, but if you watch a few tutorials and do example problems it is easy to pick up.
