1994 Cobalt 220 with 5.7 Volvo Penta GI
OEM filter is just about the same as any aftermarket one. The oil filter is in a weird spot on the bottom rear of the engine. You can get there with your hand but I needed some sort of oil filter wrench to get mine off. It's a bit messy as oil will drip out, so make sure you cover your hull. I do service before the season and it's a totally doable DIY job

This really is the way to go…why mess w a cheap aftermarket just to save a few bucks

Didn't fit
Although the description chart indicated that this filter would fit, it didn't. Requiring me to travel over an hour to a marina store to purchase the correct ones.
