I used this plug while living in Nepal for three months. It work very well the entire time. It was helpful to have two places to plug in when I needed to charge my phone and tablet together because I never knew when the power was going to go out in Nepal. I also like having two places to plug in because I was living in a house with many people and only a few plugs. I could use my plug at the same time as someone else and we could both charge. I was able to plug in my American plugs and European friends could plug in their plugs as well. One time I stayed in a hotel and found that the wall plug was unfortunately smaller than the size of this plug, but most places I went to had a wall plugs this size. Overall it worked very well and was light and easy to travel with.

I used this in Sri Lanka, which has the same D-style outlets as in India. This does not convert from the 220 volts from the wall outlet, but many computer and electronics chargers work on both 110 volts and 220 volts, so no transformer is needed. I did purchase a small transformer for the things that only work with 110 volts. This product accepts regular USA 2-prong plugs for products that will work on 220 volts. It has a handy second outlet at the top only for USA 2-prong plugs, so 2 things can be used at the same time. Hint: take an extension cord or something that will allow more than 1 thing to be plugged into your transformer supplying 110 volts.

This product is great. The service is quick too. I used it on my recent trip to india. The plug works very well and fits in Indian electrical sockets without any issue. Since it has multiple ports i could connect my laptop and mobile charger at the same time. I would highly recommend this product to anyone traveling to India.

This is ALL you need for your devices that support 240V. Plug this into the wall in India and your US plug into this. This is small, light and effective. Buy one of these and a Monster MP OTG400 BK Outlets To Go 4 Outlet Travel Power Strip (Black) and you will be all set. Outlet -> OREI Grounded Plug Adapter --> Monster Outlets To Go 4 --> US 240V Devices (Plug in up to 4 devices with this setup **NOTE: If you have devices that DO NOT support 240V you will need a POWER Adapter not a PLUG Adapter. That is a different product. If you try to plug your 110-120V devices into a PLUG Adapter they will be fried. Do not do that. Most laptops, phone chargers, cameras, etc support 240V but check your chargers first. Also note that you SHOULD NOT use the Monster Outlets to Go with a POWER Adapter.

I could not get my hairdryer to work in Botswana with this adapter. Friend had another brand and it worked fine.

Used this in India during a 1 week trip for work ... the hotel was very western and had the plugs in the wall with all different styles, but I found that some of my american plugs still didn't work with the hotel plugs, but worked perfectly with this adapter. I was also able to use it at the office where we had 4 of us trying to share the 1 adapter that the office provided for us. It worked with three types of American plugs: 3 prong, 2 prong (same size prongs), and 2 prong (one prong bigger than the other). Price and shipping were great.

My two traveling companions also had adapters from other sources that failed to work in all the different hotels we stayed in during our travels throughout Northern India. They were constantly asking to borrow one of mine (I purchased two, thankfully) because theirs didn't work everywhere, but mine did. I can't speak for how well it would work in Africa, I haven't been there yet, but for India this product performed beautifully. Glad I had it! This adapter was advertised as the type to use in Jordan. However, all the outlets we encountered were non- grounded so this would not work. Luckily, I had brought along my old set of non- grounded adapters as well and the Southern Europe, Africa, and Asia one worked fine ( it also worked in Israel which all the sites I checked ahead of time said it wouldn't). You'd think OREI would know something this basic about the country and I now wasted the money for an adapter I will never use and didn't need. I cannot recommend OREI products at all, especially with the even more outrageous problem with their Israeli adapter ( see my separate review of that).

Habe ich ihn in Indien teilweise eingesetzt, aber meist haben meine Euro-Stecker direkt in die Steckdose gepasst, dafür kann der Adapter natürlich nichts. Gut gefällt mir auch, dass er als 2-fach-Verteiler (zumindest für Euro-Stecker) eingesetzt werden kann. Er ist im Vergleich zur Konkurrenz sehr klein, handlich und gut verarbeitet.

Ich war in Indien unterwegs und muss ehrlich sagen, dass ich ihn kein einziges Mal gebraucht habe, wei überall europäische Steckdosen zu finden sind. Auch in den Backpackerhotels!

Klein, leicht und nützlich! Wir haben während unserer Indienreise immer zwei Geräte gleichzeitig aufgeladen! Es hat problemlos für Handy und Tablet funktioniert.

Den Adapter habe ich für Südafrika erworben und musste vor Ort feststellen, dass die Anschlüsse nicht passen. Daher kann ich nur abraten, diesen Adapter für dieses Land zu kaufen, es gibt dafür vor Ort deutlich bessere und preisgünstigere Alternativen, z.B. in den Spar Supermärkten.
