Carpe Sweat Absorbing Face Lotion for Oily Skin, Mattifying - 1.35 oz

I am never one to write reviews, but this product is amazing. I have struggled with a sweating problem my whole life. Especially on my face, I was very skeptical of this product. From the first time I used it I knew it was going to change my life. I know that sounds so cheesy, but I have always been so embarrassed of my face sweat and this product has absolutely changed that. It goes on smooth, not quite like a lotion but very similar. Once on it mattifies your face (in a good way) and when you start to sweat it soaks it up immediately. Obviously not 100% but almost! The little bit of sweat that does come through almost looks like a glow rather than sweat and it soaks it up soooo much quicker than if you were not using this product. For refrence, I have combination skin. Only downside is the tube is rather small for the price, but honestly I do not mind it too much since it works so well. I have added this to my everyday skincare routine and will 10000% be purchasing this regularly!

So I live in Californians Central Valley where it can get very very hot and stuffy in the summer months. I’ve never been someone who sweats in my face or scalp, but a couple years ago I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism (over active thyroid) and let me tell you this disease has changed my body! I’m always running warm and sweating from areas I never have before! That’s why I’ve been trying and finding new things I can use. I usually do ok with face primers if I’m AC environment, but sometimes at work I have days where I move a lot and organize things or move things around the office. Also I wanted something that would work for if I go out dancing or something. I kept seeing ads for this on instagram and decided to try it. It did not work for me. Not only that, I started sweating from my upper lip as soon as I put it on no matter how cool my place is. It’s very strange how it works the opposite for me. I don’t know if It’s because my skin is trying to shed it out of my pores immediately or what, but it’s so annoying. I usually apply primer and then start my makeup routine just fine. With this thing I apply it and a few seconds later, my face is sweating! If you’re like me with new sweating tendencies and oily skin/large pores, I wouldn’t recommend based on how it worked for me.

So I tried this product and it immediately made my skin itchy when I put it on, and it seemed to only make my face sweat a lot more after application than without it. So it’s not a great fit for my skin personally. However, I did leave a comment on Instagram explaining the situation and the company got back to me via Dm then email very quickly and all I had to do was email back my proof of purchase and they quickly refunded my purchase since it didn’t work for my skin. So for me, I have 4 stars because having a great customer service that’s so willing to work with people says a lot about a company in general! Thank you!

I'm an esthetician and after waxing clients throughout the day I tend to sweat a ton from my hairline, upper lip, and chin. A few years ago I nearly got fired for how much I sweat. Now I have my own business and I don't want my sweating to cause any issue for my client so I was willing to try whatever I could afford. The first day I noticed less sweating from my face and thought this is great. The next day I noticed more sweat then the day before but wasn't sure if it could've been user error or something else so I wasn't ready to come to a conclusion. Since then whenever I apply to my skin no matter how little or how much extra I use I have this white build up and my skin is overly dry. However after about 40 minutes I'll be sweating and the sweat absorbing product doesn't seem to help at all. I'm not sure if I'm a special case for example if there's a hormone thing or something else going on but this did not work for me. I did like that it was priced well enough that I could try it and not feel like I was losing out.

First, I have never noticed any build up or white residue using this product as others have said. You don't need much more than a tiny amount. Second, it's expensive because few products work as well as Carpe does, so it's worth every penny for me! Before I found their products, I thought there wasn't anything on the market to help me control the ridiculous outbreaks of excessive sweating that comes with hot flashes, which can be horribly embarrassing when out in public or when I am attending any events in a professional capacity. Now I feel more comfortable and confident, my makeup isn't melting off my face when I want to look my best, and it's such a great feeling to know that I don't have to worry about hot flashes drawing unnecessary attention to me when I go out anymore. I was so tired of being at the store and having people around me ask if I'm ok because sweat is pouring down my face! Thank you!

This product is just okay. It leaves a residue - don’t get it on your eyelids and be sure to wash it off your hands really well. If you get it on your eyelids, your eye makeup may not apply properly. I found that really frustrating since it says you can use it as a makeup primer. I couldn’t figure out what was going on until I made sure to absolutely keep it off my eyelids. Also, if you are sweating quite a bit, this will, in short order, not really help, wherever you may apply any of these Carpe products or anyone else’s sweat-preventing product. Our bodies will stubbornly try to maintain their proper temperature and that involves sweating sometimes - despite our best efforts to hack the bodily functions we dislike! There is really no way around this, unfortunately. In my opinion, this product is too expensive for something that promises too much and can’t really deliver simply because our bodies NEED to sweat and if we can’t perspire effectively in one area, we will perspire MORE in other areas. And eventually, the sweat will break through ANY product wherever you put it. Sorry to break it to people. I hoped this would work, too, as I get really hot and sweaty from hot flashes due to perimenopause and living in a warm area, but that is what I’ve discovered. In the end, don’t spend your money on these types of products that promise too much or at least adjust and lower your expectations. I think a portable fan, a cool drink with lots of ice, appropriate clothing, trying to stay relaxed and exercising some self-acceptance is the best and only real way to control sweating.

I was super skeptical at first, but wow—Carpe really works! I have oily skin and deal with face and forehead sweat, especially in warm weather or when I’m nervous, and this stuff has been a total game changer. It goes on like a lightweight gel-lotion and dries quickly without feeling heavy or sticky. I use it in the morning before makeup, and it keeps my face way more matte throughout the day. The silica microspheres really help absorb the sweat, and the jojoba esters keep my skin from feeling dried out. I’ve even used it on my scalp near my hairline, and it works great there too. Definitely worth it if you’re tired of constantly blotting or feeling shiny all the time!

I tried this product for the first time today and I am hooked. It is 90 degrees and humid in Chicago today and I had to open an entire huge restaurant patio by myself in a full face of makeup. I can’t believe how well this product worked. My face stayed completely dry while my scalp and everything around my face was dripping with sweat. Without this product, all of my makeup would’ve been sweated right off (it’s happened too many times to count). My makeup is still perfect 5 hours later. I jumped on their website to order their scalp serum because that’s my other problem sweat area (so many ruined hair-dos!). I applied Carpe after my regular skincare routine, before my makeup primer. It was very easy to apply and is completely sheer and lightweight. I have extremely sensitive skin and so far haven’t had any problems with burning or redness. My only issue with this product is that the tube is way too small. The price is fine, but I wish they had a larger size option. I feel like I’m going to go through this tube very quickly since I plan on using it every time I wear makeup (5-6 days a week). Other than the small size, I’m a huge fan of Carpe now and can’t wait to try their other products!

es hilft null, im gegenteil heute das erste mal probiert.. direkt nach dem duschen auf die trockene gereinigte haut aufgetragen und ich fing an zu schwitzen wie verrückt. ich kanns niemandem empfehlen 40 euro dafür auszugeben. und bleibe bei obadan das hilft wenigstens

This REALLY works. Used it a few times and it has performed every time even in really hot weather.

Good product as described

I got this today hoping it will assist a bit with sweating in my face. Apart from smelling a bit like wood glue, I applied it to my face as per the description and went out to buy a few things at the shop. Back in the car I was just as sweaty in my face. It is warm today so it is a good test but this is a waste of $40.

Doesn't work at all , lost of money.
