Sakkas Lady Mary Jacquard Corset Style Bodice Lightweight Handkerchief Hem Dress

I have many clothing pieces from Sakkas and have always loved the fit/color/fabric/details of those; and I was not disappointed when I received this newest style! The pro's: The fabric (I got the white dress) is really pretty: satin details & embroidery on white cotton. The fit is flattering and comfortable BUT: I would not say this an absolute one-size-fits-all. To me it seems its really for sizes 8-14. So if you are very small/petite, it will be too big, and if you are size 16, or very busty, it will be too small. I'm a 14 and it fits me perfectly. Another thing I like about this company is that you can expect Sakkas clothing to look exactly the way it does in their photos. The con's: Sakkas fabrics are prone to wrinkling and their more intense colors do bleed when you wash them (as I said, I have many of their clothing line pieces!). So some washing/cleaning recommendations for ALL Sakkas clothing items: hand wash COLD water and hang to dry, then gentle iron OVER a press cloth (to avoid shiny spots). One other tip, suggested in another review, is this one: Add a little Rit color fixative to the handwash of darker colors to make them more colorfast. Lastly Do NOT machine wash or these clothes will have a very short life! All-in-all, another very pretty & flattering style from Sakkas at a bargain price.

I absolutely love this dress! It's beautiful and well made. The back stretches so it's pretty comfortable. I'm 5 ft 3 and 1/2 inches tall so it comes down to my ankles. I'm unable to wear heels as a result of my health so I have to be careful when it comes to making sure long dresses aren't too long for me. I'm a size 16-18 and have a 43 inch bust so I got the plus size version. I love the handkerchief hem. It reminds me of my favorite singer Stevie Nicks' flowy styled dresses. If I were any heavier or any shorter the dress wouldn't have fit me. I don't have to pull the corset style tie in. I just tie it loosely so as not to accidentally tear it. This is my 2nd Sakkas dress. I hand wash this dress just like my other one which is very similar to it. I'm so glad I bought this dress. I hope it will last. 5 stars for now.

For context, ordered one size plus / received one size plus I'm 5'6", 200 lbs., 38 DDD. Normally, I'm size 14 14/16 or XL-XXL in tops In the product description Chest Size 42 inches One Size Plus: ( Fits Approximately US Sizes 12 - 2X ) Length: 42" ( Measured The dress came in very nice, lightweight, no holes, no stains, no smell. When I tried it on, I had a hard time getting it over my shoulders as it was extremely tight. I did get the dress on, but once on, the top was too tight; my top did not fit in the dress with or without a bra on. Also, the "corset" was untied and loosened as far as possible. The rest of the dress did fit as expected, it was just the issue with the The dress is absolutely adorable, very sad it didn't fit me, but it does fit my size, 10 34C niece So I'm not sure if it was mislabeled or not, but she liked it, so because of that, I won't be returning it. But also why it's a 3-star foe me

I got this dress as a birthday present from my husband. It is a beautiful color and fit. Some negatives though seem to be durability and wrinkly material. It doesn't iron well and is too fragile for dryers. I love the dress but I don't think it will last years and years like I get out of most of my clothes.

This dress is very comfortable and the sea foam color is simply beautiful. When it was worn this past weekend it received lots of compliments. At first I was worried about the whole "one size" thing but it actually really does fit a variety of sizes. My daughter wore one, of the two dresses purchased (different colors) and wears a size 0 in juniors jeans. She simply tightened the laces on the corset top and the dress fit beautifully. I have no complaints about this dress at all. For those curious, I didn't see it mentioned in the description, the dress is supposed to be hand washed. Unfortunately as others said, there's literally nowhere for any chest. I even ordered the bigger one hoping that would make a difference lol. Seems not for adults. Wouldn't even fit my chest if I had no breasts. Sewing was coming undone inside it too. Nice fabric and design. Ohwell.

This is a wonderful, comfortable, beautiful dress. I bought it for cosplay, but will be using it as a casual dress in normal life. The bodice adjusts easily to fit, but I ended up with a lot of fabric in the bodice and the jaquard pattern wasn't that visible. The skirt fabric is sheer on the outer layer, but wasn't see-through in the inner layer I wear a medium in normal clothes.

I wanted to like this dress, but I just couldn't. First off - the material wrinkles easily, leaving it looking kind of shaggy if you're not careful. The quality could be better, but is about what you'd expect for the price. The color (I got the pink one) is gorgeous however. Where the dress went wrong was in the fit - I'm on the shorter side, around 5'2", 36D, about 150-160lbs. The top corset part is way too short, even for me, allowing it to balloon out right at the high part of your waist, making you look much larger than you are -- not good for girls with curves (girls with larger busts or hips). This would go good on someone thin and narrow. The top part is also very tight, and made it feel like it was hard to breathe, while too airy at my belly. However, the plus size would have definitely been too big on my waist, even if it fit my bust better. Just not the right fit and didn't look like the picture. So sad, because it looked so gorgeous from the description!

I love, love, love this dress. The colour, the style! And it's comfy to wear. The only problem is, it needs to be washed by hand, which can be a bit difficult. For me, it's worth it. But that's something you might want to take into consideration before buying.

Dieses Kleid ist wunderschön, darin fühle ich mich richtig wohl. Es ist sehr bequem und sehr leicht. Jetzt muss nur noch die Sonne 🌞 scheinen, damit ich es endlich tragen kann. Die Lieferung erfolgte schnell und problemlos.

Vestido muy bonito, mejor que en la foto, el corsé se puede ajustar y queda muy bien puesto. Recomendable y da talla, la parte trasera es elástica.

Got this as a little Christmas treat for myself & glad I did! I am a UK size 12/14 and went for the plus size as I read it could be a little tight around the chest (I'm a 36DD). Fits very nicely and is super flattering! The lace up part around the bodice can be used to make it tighter or looser, and it also has an elasticated back so it's comfy and easy to get on. Skirt is poofier than I expected on - I went for the dark grey and it gives a gorgeous Helena Bonham Carter style.
