It's a giant bottle of a tasty flavor without artificial flavors/colors that does taste like cherry. The syrup is quite good but more powerful than the grenadine, both in flavor and sweetness. It's also quite a bit thicker and requires a bit more effort to mix it with a beverage.

So happy with the syrup! Made my flavored coffee sing with the syrup addition! Sweetened just fine, enough just to cover bottom of my coffee cup. Yes, it is somewhat tart - indeed it is very much like a bowl of real cherries! Noted no after taste that other people have noted in their reviews.

In general, Monin syrups are my favorite, but this one is a bust. The product description says cherry, but what I received was dark cherry. I’m ok with that, but the syrup doesn’t taste or smell like cherries. The closest thing I can think of is the scent of almond extract, but funky. Also, it’s thick and goopy with a somewhat chunky texture that doesn’t mix into drinks well at all. It’s very unlike all the other syrups I’ve had from this brand. Into the bin it goes because whatever mystery syrup is in there, I don’t think it’s Monin or cherry, or if it is, something has gone wrong with it.

I’m a big fan of Monin syrups and use them in all kinds of drinks coffee, teas, smoothies, energy drinks, lemonade, and even sodas. This cherry syrup has quickly become one of my favorites. I originally bought it to add to Dr Pepper, and it’s especially good in Dr Pepper Cream Soda. It reminds me a lot of the cherry vanilla Dr Pepper you can get at Sonic, which I’ve always loved. The flavor is rich and authentic cherry without tasting artificial. I’ve tried Torani’s cherry syrup before and, honestly, it tasted a bit like Robitussin to me. Monin is much smoother and more natural-tasting by comparison. My only small wish is that Monin offered more sugar-free versions of their flavors. That said, this one is good enough that I’m willing to splurge on the calories occasionally. Overall, it’s a great syrup if you like adding creative flavors to your drinks.

I have been ordering the cherry flavored for years, so good ! but the last two bottles I got had a horrible smell and taste. Amazon was great to refund my money twice within days. I thought by ordering another one,but the second bottle was just the same awful flavor Not sure what’s going on with the manufacturer. I’m sure it was a one time thing fluke I will wait a little bit to order another cherry

We love these Monin syrups… ever since we discovered them in French cafés many years ago. Always loved the mint and the raspberry, but never had the cherry before. A bit muted compared to the other two others, but still delicious. Recommended.
