Good choice if you want to feel clean and masculine

I have a collection of 50+ various scents ranging from high end down to drug store buys. This is a cologne that came highly reviewed & reccomended . It was a blind buy that did not disappoint. Light yet distinct citrus notes with good silliage and ling lasting. Perfect for the spring & summer months. Grab a bottle. It does not disappoint.

I was concerned at first - I smelled like I had just poured a bottle of gin on my chest after the first spray. Thankfully, the scent becomes pleasant quickly. I've received plenty of compliments on the cologne, but only for short periods of time. It seems it smells strongly for about an hour or two before you can only smell it when you're within a few inches of my chest. I blame my oily skin. It's not great for an all-day scent, and I find myself reapplying it before I go out in the evening. That said, when it works, it really works.

When reaching for Issey Miyake’s L’eau d’Issey this morning, I was reminded of one of my favorite songs, “Hello, Old Friend” by Eric Clapton. BTW – thank you Mr. Clapton for such a beautiful song. L’eau d’Issey has been around for over 20 years and continues to be a mainstay in my collection. This fragrance is a beautiful composition of citrus, floral, and herbal notes that is truly a classic. Today, this legend performed like a 20 year-old rock star should – lasting 10+ hours with a projection or sillage greater than arm’s length. One of the true beauties of L’eau d’Issey is the flexibility and versatility of the fragrance. Even now that we are well into Fall in South Carolina, I feel comfortable wearing d’Issey to reminisce of Spring and Summer. Additionally, with the presence of the citrus and floral notes, I would pitch this men’s fragrance is closer to being unisex – women can easily pull this off. I agree with most reviewers this fragrance is geared more for day wear, but again, I feel comfortable wearing to most events. While there have been several flankers of the original, and all have a little different twist, the DNA can be traced back to the legend. There is no substitute..!! Pricing is affordable and can easily fit into any budget. All said, my final tally for Issey Miyake’s L’eau d’Issey is 4.5 stars out of 5 stars. This is one of the greatest designer fragrances ever made and should be added to any collection. This recommendation also comes with a solid “Love” for the Fragrantica following. The legend lives..
