WOW. First time trying these and wow did I notice a difference right away. My mind has just been constant noise, thoughts and overthinking, I've been stressing too much about what ifs or what happened my anxiety was really skyrocketing. Decided to give these a try and right after about an hour my mind was at ease. I still had those thoughts but I wasn't stressing about anything. It was like all those thoughts started floating around me without bugging me. I will buy again once I'm out. They're easy to swallow, you can't really taste it even though they do smell like green tea.

Although only 100mg, I feel like this works best for me. If I want 200mg, I just take two. Everyone's system is different, but this Decaf Green Tea NOW Theanine formula does have a relaxing affect for me. Would recommend!

I noticed a difference right away. My usual ruminating quieted significantly. I suddenly wasn't worried how someone's tone or body language might mean they were upset with me. Instead of going home after work and rotting on the couch, I'm up moving around doing chores. I feel focused and productive. The capsules smell of tea, which doesn't bother me. They are "typical" capsule size and easy to swallow. I take one in the morning and one in the evening. They don't make me sleepy. I just feel relaxed with a much quieter mind and the ability to focus on completing tasks. 100% recommend.

Well, I can tell you, if you have anxiety or panic disorder like me you need to try L-theanine. I don't know if the brand matters, although this has green tea in it, some people have stomach issues with that. Either way, if you have panic disorder or anxiety give this a try. I am using 200 mg of l-theanine and the effect is great. Its not a high feeling, in fact I don't notice anything, except..... it prevents me from getting to that next level of panic. Let me explain, before I would hear a loud bang, or smell a strange smell(I work in chemical manufacturing so a strange smell to me is more than just a strange smell) and these triggers would set off full blown panic attacks. Now, with L-theanine, while I still may get a little panic, it never gets to that next level of extreme fear, shaking, palpitations etc etc... this really helps in a subtle but very important way. It's almost like its bringing me to normal. I am only taking 200 mg, and from what I have been reading 400-800 mg is when most people get the full benefits , but I'm already seeing it at 200 mg. I gave this 4 stars because, its good, but get a 200 mg pill. I don't think it matters what brand, just get 200 mg's size pills. Now foods always has made good quality products though, just in case you have never used them before. And you might want to avoid the green tea, not sure, more personal preference than anything.

I was using the Jarrow brand, which I liked and trusted, but they suddenly got super duper expensive. I've been using the 5-HTP from this brand and liking it, so I thought it would try their l-theanine. I was worried that the decaffeinated green tea extract would be a little stimulating and contribute to my insomnia, since I'm very sensitive to stuff like that. I'm happy to report that I don't sense any stimulation and in fact take this right before bed with no problems. Combined with their 5-HTP and a different brand of melatonin, I have found this to be a potent helper with sleep. (Also check out a supplement called Sleep Factors if you're having trouble sleeping. That stuff really helped with my insomnia, but I developed a gaba sensitivity and can't take it anymore.)

An amazing product to help with nerves or anxiety. I have before golf tournaments or public speaking or when i have too many coffees and it makes me feel so relaxed.

I don't know about the anxiety potential but it does give me a blissful sleep when paired with melatonin.
