Great for drum overheads panned hard left and right with another good condenser mic straight up the middle to add more body fullness but thats just because I can and not a statement about the quality of these mics cause they sound just fine without the extra mic . The stereo bar is a nice addition even though im not currently using it with these mics but with some others and the carrying case is handy. Wind screens are going unused and dont see them ever having much usefulness but ya never know and its good to have em handy if the situation arises that they are needed. For the price i am more then happy.

My daughter's show choir operates on a very tight sound budget. It was an absolute requirement we spend our money wisely and still get quality sound. After reading other reviews on these microphones (both good and bad), we purchased two sets of these for our end of the year school program. The students sing jazz and pop music. Many songs were acapella. Before the purchase, I compared the specifications of the C-2 to several more expensive microphones. The Behringer C-2 microphones were reasonably sensitive and offered the prospect of good feedback rejection with their pickup pattern. In the end, while wanting to purchase expensive microphones (because you get what you pay for most of the time!), we bought the C-2 instead and absolutely could not have been more pleased with their performance. Like other reviewers, it is my opinion for the price, these cannot be beat. I have a reasonable ear (not professional at all) and it is my opinion there is not a significant improvement in sound between these and other more expensive mics. With special monitoring equipment, you might detect small sound differences but probably not important enough to warrant the extra $$. After all, in live stage performances, it is about being heard clearly and controlling feedback. These microphones deliver at a price point that is unbelievable. We do not need more expensive microphones. These fit our needs perfectly. I firmly believe you get much more than what you pay for with the C-2. Buy them. I do not believe you will be disappointed. Compared to other matched cardioid condenser microphones, these are a true bargain. Because of the low price, I was skeptical about their performance, but after reading numerous positive reviews, I pulled the trigger. I am not disappointed at all. I've installed this matched pair of mics in our church sanctuary as stereo room mics, to capture ambient noise, the audience and minor reflected sound. This helps add to a real-life feel for our live stream. They are perfect for this application. Mounted to the ceiling and pointed towards the audience, they pick up the detailed noise of conversation, clapping, singing and some stage reflections. The built in low-pass filter helps tune these to reject omni-directional bass and instruments. They are easily operated using the 48-volt phantom power switches from our mixer and with crisp highs in the 20K range, even the lightest high-end noise is captured. The bodies are cast from durable metal, and they include mic clips, that are dual-threaded for easy mounting. Time will tell if these will remain functional for years to come, but after tailoring these with EQ, panning and some delay on one side, they are impressive, and have already greatly improved our live stream. They sound great, especially for the price. Having matched mics is nice for stereo recording applications. They feel sturdy. It comes with a stand, foam wind screen, and a padded carrying case. It's not really clear from the pictures, but the stand has a standard mic mounting thread on the bottom with an included adapter. Needs phantom power from a mixer or preamp, so make sure you're setup for it. What else can I say? Super happy with them so far.

I've owned the C-2s for about a year now and I have say I reach for them more than almost any other mic I own (the winner would have to be the Blue Baby Bottle because it's just so dang versatile!). A little bit about my context: I'm a full time music technology educator, performer and composer. In terms of time breakdown, those three roles end up being around 70/20/10. I've used the C-2s to record guitar with students, mic choirs for school performances and even to capture room noise for in-ear monitors during performances. Here's what I like: -The cost to performance ratio is outstanding. They fall in the bottom of the cost range but offer a performance which is entirely usable in a variety of contexts. Would I use them for a classical guitar recording? No, but any studio you go to is going to have an excellent SDC. The C-2s also come with wind screens, mic clips and a stereo mount. -The durability is also outstanding. Working with students (as you teachers out there know) means you occasionally get the "oops, I dropped it!" or "I think the stand just fell over". With the C-2s, I haven't had anything shatter, crack or disintegrate yet. They survive being tossed in my gear bag (a repurposed husky tool bag), transported to and from gigs (latin dance band) and handled by students of all ages. Here's what I don't like: -The sensitivity of the mic is difficult to control using gain. What I mean is that in applications where the source of the sound is static or you want to either capture sound or not capture sound, the C-2s shine. But I haven't found them to be very nuanced in terms of picking up dynamic changes. I adjust the gain to get a good signal and then from there on out it's either "we got it!" or "we can't hear it". For me, this makes them more usable in live/on-stage applications than for recording. My recommendation? If you want a mic which costs next to nothing, delivers durability and predictable results, the C-2s are for you. Classroom use, technology teaching, reference/scratch recordings and live performance are areas where the C-2s shine. If you want a mic to create an outstanding guitar recording or choral recording for submission for contests or sale online, I'd strong recommend looking elsewhere (the Avantone CK-1, for example).

I got convinced after going through the international reviews and bought this condensers and trust me, it's the best decision I've made. The sound quality was very good and the range was superb, I first used it at a children's choir show and it picked up the voices very well and clear, yes, mic placing is very important so if you placed the mics at the correct position then you'll get better voice output.

Çok acayip bir set! Bariton akustik gitar, çeşitli kasalarda akustik gitarlar, süper iş görüyor! İyi bir miks sonrası dört beş kat pahalı bir versiyonundan asla ayırt edemezsiniz. İçinden çıkan stereo mount ile yaramaz. Rode’un uygun bir mount modeli var, onunla beraber kullanırsanız takım tamamdır.

Kaufentscheidung: Hab nach einem möglichst kurzen Kleinmembran-Mikrofon gesucht, um es an einer Canon C70 als Aufsteckmikrofon für Umgebungsgeräusche im Dokumentarbetrieb (bzw. als Referenz zum Synchronisieren mehrerer Kameras) zu verwenden. Das Sony ECM-XM1 Richtrohr, das ich auf meinen C200/C300 Kameras verwende war mir einfach zu groß für die kleine Kamera. Außerdem bin ich mit dem Ergebnis so eines Shotgunmikrofons schon lange unzufrieden, da (vor allem in kleinen Innenräumen) ein sehr halliger Ton aufgenommen wird, und ich die Richtwirkung eigentlich nicht brauche. Ein Kleinmembran-Mikrofon mit Nieren-Charakteristik sollte zwar etwas weniger Lautstärke, aber dafür weniger Hall liefern. Also hab ich mir die letzten 3 Wochen alles an Youtube Videos zu dem Thema reingezogen, was ich finden konnte - Ergebnis: Ich bin jetzt Profi was den Vergleich zwischen 1 Million verschiedener Mikros betrifft - hab aber nach wie vor keine Ahnung ob meine Idee funktionieren könnte. Also hab ich einfach das allergünstigste Angebot (von einer bekannte Marke) gekauft, dass Amazon im Angebot hatte - das Behringer C-2 im Doppelpack für Stereoaufnahmen. Erster Eindruck: Die Mikros fühlen sich wertig an, das Zubehör wirkt brauchbar. Mehr gibts da nicht zu sagen. Erster Test: Hab eines der beiden Mikros an den XLR-Eingang 1 gehängt, das alte Sony an Eingang 2. Dann bin ich von der Kamera weg, hin und her und um die Kamera rum gelaufen und hab vor mich hingesprochen. Und dann hab ich mir das Ergebnis angehört. Ja, das Behringer ist erwartungsgemäß etwas leiser, dafür um so viel klarer im Ton, weniger Hall und (damit hatte ich gar nicht gerechnet) es hat auch eindeutig weniger Grundrauschen! Zweiter Test: Also hab ich das C-2 an einer Tonangel befestigt und etwa 30 cm über meinen Kopf platziert. Als Vergleich hab ich diesmal meine Sennheiser G3 Funkstrecke mit ME2 Lavalliermikrofon an den zweiten Eingang gehängt. Was soll ich sagen? Klar, das Lavallier klingt voller (da näher an der Audioquelle) aber das C-2 klingt erstaunlich gut. Würde ich glaub ich in manchen Situationen sogar dem Anstecken vorziehen. Dritter Test: Jetzt, wo ich schon so in Fahrt war, hab ich auch noch das Rode NTG4+ Shotgun auf die Angel montiert, und mit dem C-2 verglichen. Eindeutiger Gewinner - das C-2 (wobei man dazu sagen muss, im Freien, würde das NTG wegen seiner sehr gerichteten Bauart wieder die besserer Wahl sein). Fazit: Für € 56,- ein Paar Kleinmembran-Mikrofone zu bekommen, die diese Qualität liefern ist unglaublich! Ja, es gibt garantiert Mikros mit besserem Klang, aber allein der Schritt hin zu einem "brauchbaren" Kleinmembran war ein Sprung nach Vorne! Jetzt bin ich gespannt, wie groß der Unterschied zu einem € 100,- oder € 200,- Mikrofon ist (oder zu einem € 2.000,- Shoeps ;-) )
