I've used this product over multiple growing seasons, and it's become my first choice whenever slugs or snails start causing damage in the garden. The thing is, I don't have a slug problem every year. Some seasons they're barely noticeable, while other years they'll suddenly start chewing holes in leaves and leaving telltale damage on plants. When that happens, a few applications of this usually bring the problem under control. Most of my experience has been in vegetable beds, particularly with tomatoes and peppers. Those are crops I've invested enough time and effort into that I'm not interested in sharing them with slugs. When damage starts showing up, this is what I reach for. I can't say I've spent much time observing the actual demise of slugs and snails, but I can say that after applying this product, the evidence of their activity tends to disappear. For me, that's all the proof I need that it's doing its job. One thing I particularly appreciate is the active ingredient. While I'm not opposed to using stronger pesticides when they're truly necessary, I generally prefer starting with the least toxic option that will get the job done. The fact that this uses iron phosphate rather than some of the harsher alternatives makes it an easy first choice. What I like: * effective against slugs and snails * easy to apply * works well around vegetable gardens * plant damage noticeably decreases after treatment * iron phosphate active ingredient * lower-toxicity option than many alternatives I also like that it's one of those products that doesn't require a lot of fuss. You apply it where needed, monitor the results, and in my experience the problem usually resolves itself without having to escalate to stronger controls. If you're seeing slug or snail damage in a vegetable garden and want to start with an effective, lower-toxicity option, this product has worked very well for me over multiple growing seasons.

As an avid gardener with a lot of beneficial insects, birds and other animals visiting, I am careful what I put out in the beds. I only use this product at key times during the growing season, and other than the fact that it washes away with a rain it's the best way to reduce the slug population. Never expect it or any other product will eliminate the issue, but it definitely is the best option and easy to use. If you don't want powder all over your hands, use garden gloves (etc.).

Products works great and as advertised all the slugs are gone! It arrived on time and the delivery person took his time to hide the package behind porch beam to hide it from porch pirates!!! It did not attract ants and had no odor. It lasted about two months.

I need stuff for my garden that is non toxic for our existing garden ecosystem. This one is advertised as eco friendly. I’m still seeing my tiny frogs so it has kept them safe. I don’t see any more snails but it really hasn’t done much for the slugs! The best way I’ve had for eliminating them is to go out after dark and physically remove them! I also added copper tape around the rim of the pots and that at least keeps them from getting into the pots with the plants.

This stuff works! Here it is August 2026 and I got this in 2024. I had slugs everywhere! On the deck, patios, coming out of the siding. It was gross. I put these pellets around the perimeter of the house and dec in 2024. No more slugs. And I mean none! It's incredible. And I haven't had to reapply.

Only works for a couple of days and then it grows mold, I saw slugs crawling right around and over it, I did see less babies but the big ones came right back. The amount of rain we've had isn't helping. May be good for a small population but my yard is infested and it isn't helping as much as I'd hoped. The little snots are eating all my plants, crawling up the side of my house, and making it difficult to walk through any part of my yard without getting stuck on my shoes. Yuck!!! Maybe next year I'll spread this before they lay a million eggs and have better luck, seems most of these slug baits grow mold regardless of the brand. I'm not sure what to do next.

I was skeptical but it does work! Great organic method for snails/slugs and works on ants as well. I saw them carrying the pellets away to the nest. Handled my ant problem too!

This stuff is unbelievable! Two days before my mother’s memorial, which I was hosting at my home, I found slugs in my pink petunias—literally up tofour slugs per petunia! It was disgusting. I looked online to see what I was supposed to do, and one suggestion was to go out at night with a flashlight and pluck them off. 🫪🫪🤮🤮😖😖 NOPE. I ordered this product, and luckily it arrived the very same day (thanks Amazon!). It took very little effort. I pulled back the rocks around my petunias, sprinkled some of this around them, and scattered the rest over the whole area. I haven’t seen a single slug since!
