HSH-C135

I was using a Cobbe filtered shower head but decided to switch once I saw this one for sale. I'm far happier with this showerhead than the Cobbe one. It's more expensive than most of the other filtered handheld shower heads but the product is immensely better so I think it's pretty good value for the money. This showerhead really gives great water pressure considering it's only using 1.8 gallons per minute. All the settings are pretty standard for a showerhead and work effectively. I'm very happy with my purchase. One thing that should be noted is with the filter loaded in the top of the shower handle, the handle can be kinda top heavy so just keep that in mind.

Works great, I've been using these shower heads and filters for years. They are durable and last forever. I had to buy this design because we moved house and my other one which was just the head connecting directly into my shower is not compatible with my current shower. I needed the head with the handle, hence had to buy this one. I've never tested with the water strips how well it reduces the hardness out of the water but can tell from the calcium deposits reduction on my faucet as well as the improvement of my hair and skin how well these filters work. Years ago I use to lose bundles of hair in the shower then started using the Culligan shower head and filter, my skin and hair improved tremendously and I just never stopped using it. I'd highly recommend this shower head and filters.

Update: It's six years later and I still use this product daily, so I feel compelled to update my review. While the bracket piece did break, Culligan sent me a new piece that hasn't broken in over five years of use. I may have just gotten a defective part the first time. Kudos to Culligan for sending me the new part, free. These kinds of hoses are basically a consumable. Even the best ones only last 5 years or so, so it wasn't really fair of me to ding this product for a cheap hose. I'm on my third hose now, they are commonly and cheaply available. The installation instructions were clear and installation was easy. Installation revealed the big flaw in this product though. The part that attaches to the shower, which also holds the shower head, is made of a very cheap and innappropriate plastic that's far too weak for the job. The plastic cracked while I was hand tightening it, and I'm not very strong! This pretty much renders the whole product useless unless you repair or modify it. I was concerned about the weight of the handle unit, considering it's got a filter and a cup or so of water in it. It is heavy, but not unmanageable. The available spray patterns are nice, the aereated foam is my favorite. It feels like a lot of water is coming out, even with the flow restrictor in. The combinations of two patterns may not work if you don't have pretty good water pressure. They work for me some days but not other days. The other thing I don't like about this product is that the hose is short. It's a good quality hose, it looks like it would last a long time. I had to substitute another longer hose for it to be long enough for my semi disabled spouse to use on the shower bench.

So far, we like it just fine. As mentioned in other reviews, the spray is a little straight-forward but the different settings will allow you to find something that will be live-able. The filter seems good and the water was fine (clean shower). We didn't have bad city-water before...but we like the idea that it will be even better now. The flexibility of the hand-held w/hose will be great with baby when she comes (later this year). Drawbacks might be that, as a hand-held, it is just a little bit heavy. However, we are looking forward to using it to clean baby either way. It seems that filter changing is quite easy. Probably a person should stock up on the filters ahead of time since you are change it every six-months (or more often if you have bad water). Included was a calendar sticker to help remind you when to change filter out (nice feature). The install was a snap (as you have read in other reviews). Really easy. Of note might be the fact that the "holder" for the showerhead is at the "base" of the showerhead so this unit will actually make the height at which your "water comes out" about 8 inches higher than it was before you changed from conventional showerhead to this one. The hose seems really solid and the rest is made of the chrome plastic we are all used to working with by now. Seems solid though. We weren't able to find anything else on the market, including the filter, that was as reasonably priced as this unit.

I bought this shower head in hopes that it would help my hair as my water is somewhat hard. It was easy to install, but it has a design flaw in the fact that when the shower head is installed and horizontally level, it's angled back towards the wall due to design of the shower head not being at 90 degrees. This means that you can't really get it to drop the water where you want it which is strange. It didn't leak and seemed to be well made. Water pressure was strong and fine. But, in terms of the filtering, the water did feel a bit softer but after using it for about a month, I didn't notice any other improvements or changes. Thus, I will likely not continue to use this in the future.

HORRIBLE DESIGN. DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL IF YOU WANT A HAND HELD FILTERED SHOWER MASSAGER!!!!! The shower head is on a rotating ball joint and it was done this way because the previous models broke at this joint due to the weight of the filter and because it is made of plastic instead of chrome or metal as it should be in the first place! The filter is so heavy that it rolls this joint down and backwards so far that when the water is on, it shoots out backwards towards the shower wall so that I have to stand astride the bathtub faucet with my back up against the wall to have any water spraying on me. Since I don't need to wash my hair every day, I usually wear a shower cap but since I'm forced to stand with the tub faucet between my legs so that the shower water hits me, no shower cap invented can withstand the shower stream hitting it backwards, up and from the wrong angle. I've tried duct taping that joint and tying it with everything from wire to waterproof rope to no avail. It lasts maybe for two or three showers and then the thing rolls, points down and back towards the wall again. I usually end up just hanging the hand held shower around my neck to keep warm and wet while I shampoo or wash and then hold the shower to rinse off but this just doesn't work when I'm trying to shave my legs. I could just tape the shower into it's holding joint/arms and I think this would help hold it up at the right angle better and for longer but then this defeats the reason I needed a hand held shower in the first place. I need a hand held shower massager to hit all those painful areas a stationary shower head won't, (I have fibromyalgia), to also wash my dog and to easily rinse out the bathtub and shower walls after cleaning them. So although I bought this on it's Culligan name and reputation, so that I would have filtered shower water and so that I could massage my pain away as needed, it was an expensive waste. SHAME ON YOU CULLIGAN! I'll never buy anything with your name on it again.

I cannot express how thankful I am to have found this product! I also own the shower head version WSH-C 125 and it transformed my daughter's chlorine damaged hair back to silk! I had exhausted everything and after extensive research I learned what hard water can do to hair. Add to the equation our new pool and chlorine and her fine blonde hair turned to straw in a matter of 2 months. Now I no longer smell the chlorine in her hair and after one shampoo her hair was changed. I was so shocked. I have a full review of this struggle under the other shower head. I myself have brown fine but coarse highlighted hair and my natural "frizz" and texture of my hair has improved dramatically as well. It is softer than it has been in years. All the damage and abuse is being washed away. I decided to purchase the hand held version as well due to a large golden retriever that loves to find mud puddles in the backyard. I was nervous seeing the earlier reviews with the mounting bracket, but I did find where they changed this and improved the product. My husband installed this in 10-15 minutes which included removing the old one as well. We have low water pressure and I was worried about the filter making it even worse. The flow and pressure from both of the shower heads is better than my old ones! It's insane AND we left the flow restrictors in place! I actually have decent water pressure now and I get hot water more quickly. Usually it takes 4-5 minutes for our hot water to make it downstairs to our bathroom and kitchen sink. I had hot water in 1:45 seconds. The kitchen....still a sore spot! I have no problems with the angle or adjusting the spray. Is it heavy? Of course. It's just as heavy as my old hand held that didn't have a filter! Luckily I don't have to try and shower with this in my hand because I would make a massive mess! I love having it to bathe the dog for his inopportune rolls in the mud and to clean the shower as well. When I am bathing the dog the handle feels comfortable in my hand and it's not heavy to me, it feels just like my previous Moen one. The mount is also nice and secure. It's a high quality fixture. Whatever your needs are for the shower head you can order this one in confidence. I'm glad I decided to try it. Don't let the old reviews deter you, they did improve the mounting bracket. This thing is awesome. Attractive, functions, amazing results and cheap filter replacement cost. 09/06/2016 Update: My damaged hair no longer feels like straw. I had no idea that hard water could play such an important role! I attributed the texture and feel to having highlights and color on a regular basis. I have been using the new shower heads just shy of a month and unlike my daughter's transforming over night mine has taken longer, and rightfully so. My frizz is under control and continuing to improve. I have also noticed it is starting to look substantially healthier. It no longer feels like straw either. Honestly, I can't even remember my hair being soft due to the texture which has now changed so much it's still surreal. My hair hasn't looked this heathy in 20 years. Reminds me of the hair I had as a child. I was also watching my daughter play volleyball this weekend and sitting in the upper level I noticed her hair shined more than any of the other girls. It has a certain glow that is easy to see and has great body to it. No products being used. All the money I had wasted on products and treatments and it's just a simple shower head. Wow.

Pros: * Installation was straight forward and no leaks, filter as worked with desired results. After the first shower I noticed big difference in water quality and after 2nd, I showered and later washed my hands it horrible city water I had and my hands were dried like before. The filter makes my skin noticeable less dry and more bearable since I have sensible skin. Con: * Most of it is made of plastic, only thing metal is the fitting toward the sprout. Other wise the holder for the hand held head seems like it wont break, * A slightly less pressure, however the water is now hotter. I feel like this is a great product overall, an alternative to more expensive options; makes me want a whole house system.

I'm very happy with this so far, my hair is less dry and frizzy and it appears to be good for my severe eczema.

Fantastic product. Instant results, we were dealing with heavily chlorinated and hard water. Our hair was dry, brittle, tangled, and our skin felt tight and irritated after showers. Installation was easy, the results were instant. Hair is soft and detangled, skin is soft and comfortable again. The shower head is very heavy from the weight of the cartridge, and it does tend to drop forward, but that's my only complaint. There is another shower head style without a wand if that seems like a big issue for you, I assume it works just as well.

Sudaki klor oranını azalttı, hassas cilt ve saçı olanlara tavsiye edilir

The water at our home was really hard this spring. My hair and skin were dry and harsh. After an easy install and about a week I noticed a great difference, skin was much better and hair is making a rebound. I use the shower head to fill the bath for my daughter and the water is crystal clear. Some reviews say the shower head is heavy but this is non-issue for us, it isn't too heavy to hold and stays in position without trouble. This is a really quick affordable solution to hard water troubles.

The shower head comes with a hose which clips into my existing riser rail. However due to the heavier head the mounting bracket tends to sag beneath the weight, causing the head to tilt down. I've tried tightening the clamp but may have to invest in another riser rail/clamp. That aside the filtered water is proving to need a lot less cleaning of the scale build up of the old unit.
