Dion is one of the most celebrated performers of the rock era and has been inducted into both the Rock & Roll and Grammy Halls of Fame. This live recording was made in New York City at the Mercury Lounge on April 26, 1996 and also features Scott Kempner (The Dictators, The Del-Lords) on lead guitar, Mike Mesaros (The Smithereens) on bass, and Frank Funaro (Camper Van Beethoven, Cracker, The Del-Lords, The Dictators) on drums.

I would not say this is the best work he has done but studio to live is ...

I give this 5 stars because I am a huge fan. I would not say this is the best work he has done but studio to live is a whole different thing and allowances have to be made. His deja nu, tank full of blues etc are superb and if todays artists had this guys inspiration and talent the music world would not be full of gimmicks and crass music like we have to endure now.

Scott Kempner and Dion - the Little Kings recording is ...

Scott Kempner and Dion - the Little Kings recording is marketed as a Dion album but with Scott's guitar work, it's so much more. Imagine Dion singing in front of the Del Lords. This is as close as it gets. Ten stars in my book.

Dion .....Live in NY.

Dion remains evergreen. Young sounding and on this CD he's leading a really 'tight' band with some great rock / blues numbers. A 'Must have'. Enjoy!!!!!
