one of my favorite purchases of all time
photography has been a hobby of mine since childhood so watching my son want to participate and have a camera of his own has been so fun all by itself. but getting to flip through the photos he takes and see what he notices what he finds important and what the world looks like through his eyes is truly the gift that keeps on giving. he has taken hundreds of pictures already and every time i look through them i get emotional. some are hilarious. some are blurry little masterpieces. some are things i would have never thought to photograph at all. the camera is easy enough for him to use independently and he genuinely loves it. arguably one of my all-time favorite kid purchases ever.

Surprisingly good kid-proof camera packed with features
This camera turned out better than I hoped. It's a godsend for any parent who is tired of handing their kid their cellphone so they can take pictures. First off, this camera is generic hardware: if you search amazon, you'll see the same electronics (look for the signature pushbutton arrangement) available under a variety of badges with a variety of case styles. They're all the same camera inside. This one (badged under Seckton) was priced about mid-range, but came with a microSD card. Usability: The controls are simple. Once I showed my 4 y.o. how to turn it on, within a couple of minutes he was taking photos, videos, playing games, and discovering features that I hadn't known were there yet. Durability: It's definitely kid-proof. The lens is is plastic, and the glass screen is strong enough that my nephews were able to throw the camera across the room with no obvious harm to the camera. Quality: The picture quality is good enough. Like any camera with a plastic lens, the photos have an artsy "Holga"-esque quality to them. The camera integrates two cameras: one forward-face, and one backwards-facing for selfies. Both work great. The camera also integrates a microphone so you won't lose the audio when your kid starts singing or newscasting into their videos. Features: The camera integrates some primitive games (snake, for example). Enough to make a kid happy their there, but not enough to steal a kid's attention away for more than a few minutes at a time. It also integrates some pretty neat artistic features: colorful frames, sprites (hats, glasses, mustache) that can be superimposed on the image, and a few stranger modes (various color mappings, and some fairly nice "mirror" and "insect eye" distortion modes. The camera also integrates an mp3 player -- byo mp3s. I'm really happy with this product. It's cheap enough that I won't cry when it is inevitably lost or destroyed, but good enough that the kid can take great pictures with it. I periodically steal the phone overnight and raid it for photographic treasures. Some of the photos the kids take are priceless treasure!

Great product highly recommend
Works great and has lots of storage. Really cool that you are able to switch to 48mp camera. Takes more storage but my son has over 350 photos and still plenty of room. Highly recommend. Ps USE THE CHARGING CORD THAT COMES WITH IT AND DO NOT OVERCHARGE!

UPDATED - Faulty Product - Does Not Charge or Work After One Use
UPDATE: After posting my initial review, the seller reached out to me directly, offering an immediate resolution. They were incredibly responsive and offered to replace the camera free of charge. I was impressed with how quickly and professionally they handled the situation. Given the price and positive reviews I had seen, I was initially disappointed, but the seller's prompt and helpful customer service has completely turned my experience around. I now feel confident that this was just an isolated issue, and I'm excited to receive the replacement camera. I appreciate the seller's excellent support, and I would definitely recommend giving the product a try, knowing that they stand behind it and are committed to making things right if any problems arise. Great customer service! Thank you Seckton!! I purchased the Seckton Upgrade Kids Selfie Camera in August 2024 from Amazon as a gift for my child. Due to timing, we didn’t start using it until late September, and unfortunately, the product has been a complete disappointment. The main issue is that the camera does not charge. According to the user manual, a red LED light should blink when the camera is charging, but this does not happen on our device. We tried multiple charging cables and outlets to ensure it wasn’t a user error, but nothing worked. After just one use, the camera completely stopped functioning. This is incredibly frustrating, especially since it was intended to be a fun and educational toy for my child. Given the price and positive reviews I initially saw, I expected much better quality and reliability. A product designed for kids should be durable and functional, but this failed on both fronts. I strongly recommend avoiding this camera unless you want to risk wasting your money on a faulty product. I am now in the process of contacting Amazon and the manufacturer for a refund or replacement. Very disappointing!

Kids love it!
Great little camera for kids! It has a few games on it, too. They think it’s fun to take care photos and it has a SD card you can pick and choose what pictures to print. Make a little photo album for them - they will think it’s great!!

Tiny and functional
So cute watching my three year old take pictures I had to buy a second one for my one year old. He stages things to photograph and it is adorable seeing the creativity flowing. It fits perfectly in his hands (it’s smaller than I expected but that’s a good thing), is nice and light, doesn’t die too quickly, and the quality of photos looks pretty good. I go through and delete the pointless pics and so far there’s over 500 images with no issue of storage space. My only issue was it comes with games like Snake and Tetris which some may see as a good thing but when he finds his way to the games when he’s button mashing, he just wants to play them, then he gets upset that he’s not good at it, so then he wants to watch me play the games and as fun as Snake and Tetris are, I’d rather him be off taking pictures of the cat while I eat lunch in peace 😆 I’d say it’s worth the price (obviously, since I bought a second one in a different color) and would make for a great gift for I’d say a 3-6 year old.

Loved this camera but not long lasting
I actually bought this camera a while ago but finally opened the box this summer when my kid was old enough and started showing interest in taking photos. This is a great and economical starter camera for young kids, and my child absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, it didn't last very long…read on below. First, what I liked about it: 1. Perfect size for little hands to grip. Lightweight. 2. It comes nicely packaged in a box that’s actually giftable, unlike so many Amazon products that show up “naked” without any sort of real packaging. 3. Has a 32GB SD card which can store quite a bit, and allows photos/videos to be transferred and saved or printed. You can adjust the resolution to be higher or lower. (The screen image quality isn’t amazing, but your little kid won’t mind that.) 4. The photo and video functions are pretty basic, but honestly is all that an average 4-5yo needs or can operate. Older kids will be able to maneuver with more ease. 5. Cute and fun stickers and frames, as well as a few filters and effects, that my kid thought were hilarious. 6. Simple classic games like Snakes and Tetris. 7. USB-C charging port so compatible with modern phone chargers. What I didn’t like: The only negative - but it’s a pretty big negative - is that the camera stopped working after just 3 months of use. One day, it just stopped charging. I tried multiple cords and charging cubes to be sure, but nope, the blue light indicating charging in progress never came back on. A bummer as we really loved this camera, but at least the photos on the SD card aren’t lost.

Cute Little Camera
Ordered this for my 4 year old and he loves it. I like that it’s simple and easy to use. Once we showed him what to do, he picked it up in no time and took over 200 pictures on the first day! A lot of the other kids cameras I looked at had games on them and while this does have games, it has snake, Tetris, and a few games like that. I didn’t want think to become another tablet-ish device, so I am glad they are just simple games that he doesn’t have too much interest in and that aren’t too distracting. We haven’t uploaded the pics yet, but it appears easy enough to do. And the picture quality looks good too. The only slightly negative thing is that it is a lot smaller than I anticipated it to be, but it is good for small hands. I would say that it’s maybe a tad small for my 4 year old’s hands in that he could handle something a little bigger, but it doesn’t seem to be hindering him. But I don’t mind starting with this, letting him enjoy it, and then upgrading next year with something a little bigger/nicer if he continues to enjoy taking pictures. All in all, if you’re looking for something simple and easy to use that doesn’t break the bank and does what it’s supposed to do, this seems like the perfect thing.
