The Compact and Reliable Coffee Scale You Need for Perfect Brews
Hey there, coffee lovers! If you're on the hunt for a reliable and affordable coffee scale, I highly recommend the one I've been using. I got this scale for espresso making, but it also works great for pour over. Here's what I like about it:First off, this scale is super small and thin, which makes it easy to store and transport. Plus, it has a physical button instead of a touch button, which is a big plus for me. I find physical buttons more reliable and they give me solid feedback. You know when you've pressed it, which is not always the case with touch buttons.Another thing I love about this scale is how fast it responds to weight changes and how stable it is. I've had scales in the past that would give me two different readings for the same thing, which was frustrating. But this one is consistent and accurate every single time. And let's not forget the price! This scale is super affordable, which makes it accessible to a wide range of coffee enthusiasts. So if you're thinking about getting a coffee scale, just go for it. Don't overthink it. This one is small, reliable, and won't break the bank.Overall, I highly recommend this coffee scale. It's perfect for anyone who wants to make a great cup of coffee at home without spending a fortune on equipment. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Score! What a deal, what a bargain. Does what you need to refine your coffee thing.
This thing is tiny, just large enough to hold a cup or a tray of beans. Good size.I have other kitchen scales that rest on rubber feet, so all 4 of the feet on those scales need to be on a level surface for it to read accurately. Not so easy if you're sticking the scale on your espresso machine's drip tray. This scale has a flat bottom, no feet that have to be in firm equal contact, so you can use it on an irregular surface- like your drip tray.It is backlit! Turn it on, the display is very clear, high contrast, brightly and automatically backlit, numbers and letters are large. Readability 10/10. That's a super plus when you're pulling that early morning shot or brewing that cup in a dark kitchen and you're half asleep.Reads ounces or grams, to a decimal point. Easy to switch between each with a single button press. Max capacity is 1kg.Timer button works as required. Press it, it flashes once then starts to measure to the 10th of a second. Hit the button again and it stops and displays the time, hit it again and it re-sets to zero. There is not a pause/ resume function capability in my observation.Tare function sets to zero very quickly. It is, IMHO, very cool looking. Understated, modern.I have a 100 gram calibrating weight used to check the accuracy of scales. It shows exactly 100 grams with this scale, so it is accurate to at least a half a tenth (0.05). That's pretty good, that's less than one coffee bean. According to the included instruction sheet you can re-calibrate it if needed, there is a procedure listed but it references a chart that was not included so that part is not clear. But, a non-issue I think, I use digital scales for a living in heavy use environments (professional kitchens), I've never needed to re-calibrate any of them. So, for the cost that this thing is currently selling for, if you have even an inkling that you want to measure and dial in your coffee brewing/ espresso making thing, get one and do it. What's your goal? 18.5 grams of coffee for 30 seconds to a final shot weight of 35 grams? Whatever it is this device gets you there. We live in a marvelous time, where high quality tools like this are available so inexpensively.

A lot of information in a small package; even a monkey could use it.
This is a wonderful little scale for making espressoHowever, it has one glaring issue: It isn't water-resistant. With a device intended for use alongside an espresso machine, which specializes in shooting pressurized water and steam, it's imperative that a device like this is capable of keeping out most of said liquid. This has led to small parts of the on-screen characters to become partially obscured by moisture, which I have to occasionally wring out; a minor annoyance. Egen with that, it still functions perfectly.Keep in mind: For such a low price point, you're getting a lot of power, so SOMETHING was going to be minimalized. Thus, to keep it dry, I simply set the scale on my tamping mat, and tape the bottom of the battery cover and screen to keep water out; solved. An overall great product for a home barista looking to truly improve their espresso.

The Perfect No-Nonsense Espresso Scale
I absolutely love this scale for espresso. It is sleek, simple to use, easy to read, and has zero gimmicks. The weight is accurate, taring is easy, and the shot timer is intuitive. The build quality is far better than I anticipated. I can tell that someone actually put effort into designing and making this scale. I'm already recommending it to all my coffee snob friends!

Fits under Gaggia Classic & works well
This is a good little scale. It fits under my Gaggia Classic with a slightly short & squat Asian tea cup used as an espresso shot glass. The screen is well-lit and easy to read. The removable lid turned sideways and placed on top of the scale makes a good platform to weigh an entire portafilter & handle for dosing. The auto-off timeout is plenty long enough to tare out the weight of portafilter & funnel, grind, and weigh the dose in the filter.Downsides:Battery life might be a little low. I've been using it for about two weeks, and the battery meter has dropped to the last bar. Granted, that's with the included no-brand free batteries, so might do better w/ higher quality batteries.Coffee grounds can get into the buttons, and they're hard to shake out. I can feel them *crunching* under some of the buttons. Occasionally this makes the timer start button not register, and I've missed some shot times as a result. I've found that pushing the start button and waiting for the screen to blink once to indicate it's started, THEN starting the espresso machine ensures the clock is running before water hits grounds with less than a second lost in terms of timing.

Great little scale.
I really like this scale. The buttons have a good feel to them, are large and easy to push. The screen is bright and clear. It also fit great on my espresso machine, however I like it so much that I’ve actually started using it as my everyday kitchen scale, as it fits easily in the drawer with my other baking tools. However it is better suited for expresso so I will be looking for a larger model from this manufacturer.

Solid choice for making espresso
This inexpensive scale works perfectly for making espresso. The scale is responsive and easy to use. I was quickly able to measure out my dose and yield using this scale. Its slim design allows it to fit underneath a portafilter and cup, though that will depend by device and cup combinations. Included timer rounds out its features making this a great choice without breaking the bank. While its small design is ideal for espresso machines, you may run into issues of weight and size when attempting to use it for pour over devices. If you want to use it for these methods, I recommend you carefully review the specifications before buying as other scales may be more fit for purpose.

Cheap, Good & Responsive
Title, basically. I noticed that heat from my cup/carafe would affect the readings (it would climb slowly), so I added a silicone mat on top, and the problem went away. Fantastic value, if you don't need the "smart" features on a $200 scale.

Excellent budget cost effective espresso scale
MAXUS Espresso Scale with Timer 1000g/0.1g Drip Coffee Scale, Small and Handy Barista Scale, Brew Drip Tray Coffee Scale, Backlit LCD for Fast and Accurate Reading, Convenient Digital Pocket Scale | Small Barista Scale, Fits Drip Tray, Backlit LCD for Fast and Accurate Reading, Compact Digital Scale for Home and Cafe UseA nice small pocket scale for measuring your espresso beans and output extraction. Has a very handy timer to time Your extraction and alongside the weight. Very easy to use. Measures and ounces.I compared the measurement with another coffee scale that I use for beans and it seems spot on. I do however recommend setting it on flat surface and recalibrating with tare every single time. This is common practice anyway.Do unit uses two AAA batteries which it comes with. But I highly recommend putting in some high quality AAA batteries.I don't have an expensive espresso setup... And this is a pretty accurate scale to fit into my budget setup.
