The cable for the SE-215's are thicker and better built than most
I used to go through headphones fairly frequently because the cables gave out in various places. Whether it was at the junction close to the connector, where the left and right headphones split, or near the headphone itself, once there was a small problem with the cable, I would have to buy replacement headphones. That was one of the big reason I bought the Shure SE-215-K Headphones -- because of the replaceable cable. The cable for the SE-215's are thicker and better built than most, but like the others, the original cable eventually failed. So I bought this cable to replace it. Replacing the original cable was as easy as pulling the connector pin of the old cable out of the ear bud and putting the new ones in. Instead of paying $100 for new headphones, I only had to pay $30 for a replacement cable. AWESOME! Some users complained about reduced sound quality or other issues due to the quality of the cable, but this is not true. The problems they were experiencing were likely due to an unclean or insecure connection between the cable and ear bud. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM. This cable can only do so much. It cannot prevent user error from people unwilling to troubleshoot a problem.

Nice replacement cable
This is a nice replacement cable. Right off the bat I noticed the thickness of the cable is thinner than the original cable that came with my Shure215's. I think I like that it's more light weight, but if it does not last as long as my last cable (8 years) i'll say the thinner cable is an issue. Compared to my new Westone IEMS, the cable thickness is about the same. I chose the shorter cable because my original cable always seemed too long. This will function great without me having to tuck the excess cable into my back pocket. Replacing the cable was harder than I expected because the old set was crazy stuck on both drivers. I could not just pull gently and have them release like many videos suggested. I actually had to grab the ends with needle nose pliers and apply pretty good force to get the old cables off due to dust over the years. Plugging in the new shorter cable on the other hand was super easy. They clicked in easily and the sound is as should be expected. A good affordable way to keep your Shure215 IEMS alive.

Work, but not super high quality. But there are no real alternatives.
This is the 4th pair of these cables I have bought. I have the Shure 846 in ear headphones and I use them walking around plugged into my iPhone 6. Since I sometimes get phone calls, or want to change the track or volume, these cables are critical to get the additional functionality. Now I love the function, but I don't love the cables that much. They are not particularly high quality. They sometimes get tangled and I find they do age and give poor contacts - which is why I am on cable order 4. I use these virtually everyday so they do get a lot of wear. From what I can diagnose, the issue seems to be at the contact going into the Shure 846. I change out the cables and everything works fine. So, I am giving these a high review because they work. I wish Shure would produce something of high quality, even if the cable were more expensive, and I would buy those. Instead, I have a $1000 in ear headphone matched with these cables. But I do want the ability to control my iPhone at the same time so this is the trade off. Please, someone make better cables with iPhone controls!!!!

Handy Replacement Cable
The black Shure 64 inch detachable cable will work for any mmcx compatible IEM other than Westone-mmcx types of connectors. I have the Fidue A83, which have a mmcx connection just like the Shure IEMs. I grabbed these cables because of the swivel features on these appealed to me. Some aftermarket cables advertise that they improve sound, and slap a giant price tag on these. Since I wanted to avoid that, I went to Shure and haven't looked back. These cables pretty strong, have a long length, and maintain a solid connection to the IEM. The cable cinch works well enough, but I don't think it is that secure. Also, while you may need to clean the connectors to prevent sound cutting out, it is very easy to manage with Shure cables. The original stock cable with A83 needs crazy amounts of maintenance and has its own issues, and the Shure cables are a very good replacement. The swivel features helps me get a deeper seal and more comfortable fit with my A83's as well. I recommend this cable if you have issues with your cables. These are not one of those cables advertised for sound, where you should go somewhere to look (that's if you can hear a difference).

Sounds great, and easy to fix
There is an easy way to fix this cable, when it goes "bad": Just disconnect the headphone drivers from it and clean inside the contacts with DeoxIT DN5 and a cloth. Use the cloth and DeoxIT to get all the black gunk out of the little golden holes at the end of both headphone ports. I've done this twice now (once every six months or so, since buying the cable a year ago) after the music playing through it started cutting out, and it brought the cable back to brand new condition, sonically speaking. It sounds great, and I don't have to keep buying new cables. I'm now convinced that the problems that are often reported with this cable: that it starts to go "bad" after a time, are probably due simply to dirt building up on the contacts at the interface between the cable and the headphone drivers. There's no need to buy a new cable when this happens. Just clean it as I described above, and you should be set. Of course, it's also possible that the cable really does get damaged somehow that a simple cleaning can not fix, but it hasn't happened to me yet. Cleaning it has fixed it every time.

Expensive, unsure of quality, otherwise functional.
I own a pair of Shure SE215 sound isolating earphones and after several months the included cable for them (should be this same cable) developed several issues. If I wiggled the cable near the part where it curves over the ear the audio would cut in and out even though there was no obvious external damage. Also, the color of the wire inside the cable changed color. I believe this was due to an external cut in another portion that caused the wire to become exposed and somehow the internal wire became corroded. I purchased this to replace that cable and so far it works fine but I am also much more careful about it and don't wear them as much to avoid damaging them which is inconvenient. It doesn't help that the cable seems more expensive then necessary but that may be due to the specialized connectors for the earbuds.

Great Purchase
Great cable instead of having to replace to the whole shure headphone for $200. I use the shure's almost everyday for exercising and after a year, the cable was starting to short out. Luckily Amazon had them in stock and I received them quickly as usual. It seem almost the same quallity as the original, although part of the cord is a tiny bit smaller than the original. The package said "Made In China" and I am not sure if they are Shure certified or not. But the cable assembly works great and I will probably get another for a back up. I don't know what the other reviewers are complaining about this cable for- a $30 cable versus $200 for new headphones. I guess some people will always see the glass as half empty instead of half full. BUY IT and you won't be disappointed nor will your wallet.

Müziğin hakkını veriyor, tavsiye ederim
Kulaklık amfisi kullandığım için bu kabloya ihtiyaç duydum, öncesinde replika kablo kullandım, orijinal almaya karar verince sipariş verdim. Oldukça beğendim, müziği canlı dinliyor gibiyim, tüm tınıları duyabiliyorum, sesler çok daha net sesin rengini, müziğin verdiği duyguyu çok daha iyi hissedebiliyorum, kulaklık amfisiyle de kullanınca ses kalitesi çok daha iyi, baslar, tizler detaylıca alınabiliyor, müziğin gerçekleştirildiği stüdyoda gibiyim, Apple Airpods Pro kullanıyorum, kullanımı kolay ancak ses kalitesini tartışmam bile, shure kulaklık ve tabii amfinin de katkısı büyük, apple airpods pro nun müzik dinlerkenki verdiği ses çubukla tenekeye vurduğun sesten farksız geliyor maalesef.teşekkürler.
