Mondo Record & Stylus Care System

I like this product a lot. I have bought some incredibly raunchy used records that this system has brought back from the brink of death. The best part about it is the money you save avoiding systems that are twice the price. I feel like some of those cleaning systems definitely have their place (ie vac systems), but the GrooveWasher is very convenient and effective. I’m interested to try their stronger solution for the super dirty pulls, but I’ve been very impressed with the G2 solution this comes with. All of the goodies this kit comes with, like the label protector, towel and pad, are great quality and definitely useful. The matching walnut handle and block are so nice and well made. The only thing I’m left wishing for is a simple dust cover for the display block. They use to make one, but I haven’t been able to procure one as of yet. Considering both the quality and effectiveness of this product, it is an incredible value and I would highly recommend it to any vinyl enthusiast.

Price seemed a bit much until I received product. It’s everything and more than advertised.

Great kit - works exactly as expected.

Everything was packaged neatly and I even liked the box it came in so much, that I debated using it as a display! But the walnut stand is too beautiful to not have out. The mat and label protector was a key addition to this system and was a deciding factor for me. I choose not to clean records on my turntable, so a mat that won't hold dust is vital. Cleaning the cartridge and stylus was eye-opening and oddly satisfying. I had no idea how much dust had gathered on the cartridge of my '63 Astro Sonic. I thought I kept it neat and clean! A gentle soak and wipe with the G2 solution and I let my first press of Pearl Jam Ten spin! Wow, what a difference! Thanks so much, GrooveWasher! You have a customer for life!

Looked at a lot of record care systems before buying this one. I used to use a Discwasher system in the 80's and it worked really well for maintaining the Vynyl. This one is even better... keeping the records clean keeps them quiet. Kudos

This is a complete record care kit plus stylus care package! I like the landing mat too. Probably the best manual cleaning kit on the market. I would recommend and buy again.

Love this vinyl cleaning product. The display block and brush handle are made from beautiful 40 year old solid Black Walnut. Also with a 8oz record cleaning fluid refill in addition to the 2oz spray bottle. Going to have a lucite cover made for it to top it off and keep dust out. By far the nicest cleaning kit out there.

I’ll update this review as I clean more records but I used this elaborate and well packaged kit on an older 80s record with a lot of static and a newer record that had static from I’m guessing a poor pressing? Either way neither record sounded any better after several non spinning cleanings. I can’t help but feel it’s all for show. Otherwise the packaging was fantastic and the invoice even had a hand written “thanks” on it. But at $80 I’m so far wishing I got one of those spinning record cleaners. I’ll keep giving it a chance before I consider any kind of return as I really would love to like this well built product.

This is a really great product, from the walnut stand you can put your brushes into to the cleaning mat you put your records on to clean it is just the perfect all in one solution to clean your records and keep them in great condition for playing!
