This is my absolute favorite moisturizer for both day and night. It has a super pleasant and light scent, it feels super lightweight but moisturizing, and it absorbs very well. It works well for any skin tone. This brand consistently uses clean ingredients, and I and sensitive skin and never have any skin irritation from this. It lasts well when stored properly.

I recently purchased the SheaMoisture Balancing Moisturizer for Dry Skin African Black Soap with Shea Butter, and I must say that I'm quite pleased with my purchase. I am 62 and I had a breakout, I have very sensitive skin and am not wanting to pay for very high end product anymore although I ended up spending a lot! I tried a couple of highly recommended skin regimes for sensitive skin and ended up in a viscous cycle of scalding and breakingout that I could not calm down, everything I tried made me worse. I found African black soap and it started me on a path but my skin was so scalded, I decided to really research and decided to try this as pure and natural seems to just make sense and it does. When this cream came in I put it on and I love the earthy clean smell, it tingled a bit and I thought oh boy now I've done it, well yes I DID I put more on at bedtime and when I woke up it was nothing short of a Miracle!! Most spots where Gone or significantly better and my face was soothed!! The more I use it the more I love it, the SheaMoisture African black soap came a day or two later and my skin has never looked better. I like that the moisturizer is thick you do not need a lot and it works on combination skin as well, also a little extra dab on a problem spot really helps. I went by reviews as well as ingredients and I hope this helps someone who like myself just didn't know what else to try! As a footnote the consistency of the cream in no way makes me feel that I am clogging pores so don't worry GO FOR IT!!

Loved it more before the addition of tea tree oil. It used to be lightweight and very refreshing to put on. Now it’s thick and almost clumpy. Still moisturizes well but not as lovely as it used to be. It is confusing though b/c the older jar says “new lightweight formula” - I wish I could still find this one!

I decided to give this a try since I already use Shea Moisturize products. I was not disappointed. While the jar is small, a little goes a long way. I bought this two months ago and I still have a lot left, granted that I only use it a few times a week. Before the weather got extremely cold, this was very moisturizing. Since it’s cold, I follow it up with shea butter. This cream will leave your face feeling soft and moisturized. My skin looks amazing after I use it. It has a low scent which is a plus. While it’s great on the face, it also works wonders on your hands in the winter months.

This is a combo review for the moisturizer and the Shea Moisture black soap. I am in my 40s and have suffered with adult acne for YEARS. I have tried EVERYTHING over the years, including prescription antibiotic gel, Proactiv, BC pills, and just about every other product, and nothing has ever worked. Nothing. I believe my breakouts are mostly caused by hormones, so I was just about to give up and accept my skin. I have combination skin, but it's very sensitive. Even supposedly hypoallergenic products didn't help. Well, after only a few days of using this moisturizer in conjunction with their black soap and toner, my face is completely bump free!! I bought the soap first, and I had a moderate breakout the very first day and figured it was another dud. Boy was I wrong! The soap is drying, so I needed a great moisturizer and this was it! After using this moisturizer and the soap, I am clearing up very nicely and maybe now some of these old acne scars can finally heal. It's not greasy feeling on your skin like most moisturizers, and it absorbs very quickly so I wasn't sure it was going to keep my skin hydrated, but so far it's great. My skin is soft and shine free, and makeup goes on great after using it. I love this line!!

I like this moisturizer. I got my first jar from Marshall’s and wanted to order another one. It came completely smashed in the package, which was disappointing. Looking at other reviews, the jar typically comes in a small cardboard SheMoisture box with a paper seal beneath the lid. My jar was free floating (no box) in the parcel, with no paper seal in sight. My damaged jar delivered overnight, but my replacement jar won’t be here for three days. Kind of sucks but maybe it’s a sign to just order it from SheaMoisture directly. Regretting not simply asking for a refund. My problem is with Amazon shipping, not the product! I really do like this moisturizer.

This product absolutely blew my mind. I am someone who gets very oily skin throughout the day, and I'm also quite prone to some acne flair-ups from time to time. I have been using skin care products and daily regimens to help my acne for a few years now. I've tried hundreds of products to help combat daily oiliness and blemishes, especially since I'm a teacher and I'm on display all day. This product not only moisturizes, but it keeps my skin SO matte and oil-free ALL DAY! I'm not exaggerating in the slightest. I work summer camps in the summer, and I put this stuff on in the morning, and even after sweating and being out in the humid heat all day, my skin still looked smooth and matte, something that's never happened before. It also works well as an acne treatment, keeping flair-ups at bay, especially when used overnight. Despite the fact that it keeps my skin super matte, it still moisturizes it. Overall, this is an incredibly effective product that surprised me with how wonderful it works for my skin problems. It is a holy grail, especially considering the price. No exaggeration here, I'm just being truthful as to how it worked for me! :)

Sent bon, est épaisse mais ne rend pas la peau grasse, très bien absorbée par la peau, la rend douce et unifie le teint quand on l'utilise tous les jours, un produit hydratant nourrissant avec de très bons ingrédients! Dommage qu'il est si difficile à trouver !

It is quite disappointing to see that such an expensive cream is being delivered unsealed and looks used… there should be a better packaging for such a product. Do not recommend if this is how it is delivered. Also the texture of the cream is different than previous version ! Not recommended

I ordered the Shea Moisture African Black Soap Balancing Moisturizer, but it arrived with a watery consistency, possibly due to heat exposure. It seems like the product might have spoiled or separated. Has anyone else experienced this?
