Would you recommend this formula or the one for bougainvillea if you have Star Jasmin?

I buy this for my ixoras. But for bouganvilleas and alamandas i buy nelson nutri star for bouganvilleas and all flowering vines. The Nelson products are excellent.  My garden is beautiful.

How frequently do you use this on established outside plants?

Accepted Answer

In all situations, the FREQUENCY is 8 weeks, provided you respect the quantities according to plant size as well as maintaining the soil properly irrigated. Dry fertilizers do not work well without proper watering and can even damage plants when soil is overly dry for a prolonged period of time.

What to use for propagation of encore azalea

Accepted Answer

Encore azaleas can be propagated by way of rooting cuttings or tissue culture. For rooting the cuttings, rooting hormones, either powder or liquid, are used to induce root growth at the base of the cutting, thus establishing new plants. This process is usually practiced by professionals. But if you would like to try your luck, I suggest  you google " how to propagate azaleas"  and you will get much more detailed information and the steps to follow. Also, plant foods or fertilizers are not used for propagation.

the instruction says for 1 gal use 1 tbsp.  So do I just add it in the water?

Hello,
Thank you for using the Nelson Azalea food! The container instructions refer to plants in containers. So, if you have a plant in a 1 gallon container, you would use 1 tbsp of food, sprinkling it around the plant or mixing it into the soil and then water the plant as you normally would. We recommend never adding the plant food to the water, because the granules are coated and intended to feed over a period of time. If you add the food to water or dissolve the granules, all of the nutrients are released at one time and could cause ""over feeding"".
