Nice pump! I called both the seller and Honda prior to purchasing. Both had great customer service! We are using the pump in a fire prevention system; so it won’t be used daily as a trash pump; but seasonally and tested monthly. The pump started really easily and pumped well with NO leaks. We’ve used it about a dozen times, so far, draining the water from the tank after each use. The cage is great as it protects the pump...even in shipping, and provides framework to attach a hand-made cover & leashes, (read below). It’s really heavy for the size pump it is, which we hope will provide longevity for the pump. . It’s got the longest warranty than any other pump I reviewed. The one concern I have is how it will wear over time. I’m using it about 1&1/2 miles from the coast, so I am concerned about it rusting, since it will be used and stored outside, as it is too difficult to move. I did make a cover for it using reflective rigid foam insulation board with a tarp covering the pump and cover to help protect it from the elements. Time will tell. It would be nice if Honda added leashes for all the caps, There IS an interior leash for the fuel cap. However, there are NO leashes on the oil reservoir cap, OR the 3 caps (2 different sizes) on the water tank. My biggest fear is losing one of the water tank caps, which would make the pump inoperable. That would be a nightmare, if you’re in the thick of things. I’m planning on creating leashes and tying them to the frame so they can’t get lost. One thing I learned when talking to Honda, prior to ordering the pump, is the warranty is only valid if it is purchased from one of Honda’s approved Dealers. I verified that “Hardware Sales, Inc” out of Washington State, is an approved Dealer. There are lots of sellers on Amazon and the prices fluctuate, regardless, please check to make sure whomever you’re purchasing it from is an actual approved Honda Dealer, otherwise Honda may not service the warranty. This pump is quite stout and appears to be well made, we’re hoping it will last longer than our last pump (different manufacturer). At least Honda stands by their product with a pretty good warranty.

This piece of equipment is very well made, cranks first try and performed the desired task very well.
