Glad I found these!
I love these pickled peppers with the onions and carrots! They remind me of those little bowls of appetizers that Pepe's Mexican Restaurants in the Chicago area would put on the tables to munch on before ordering your meal! I live in Colorado now, and these are a great substitute! 🌶 🧅 🥕

Good canned jalapenos.
I prefer to use fresh peppers whenever possible. I like the flavor more than the pickled variety that comes in cans and jars. However, they don't keep and stay fresh very long. It's not always practical to keep fresh jalapenos or other types of peppers on hand. I like to keep whole, cut or diced jalapenos on hand for recipes or for garnish if needed. I tried a can of La Costena sliced jalapenos and liked them very much. These were cut longways instead of crossways like I'm used to. It worked out great when I used some on rectangular shaped club crackers with cheddar cheese as one of the things on my new Year's Eve cheese, cracker and sausage plate. They would also be great for tacos cut this way. You can always dice them if you need them to be finer for a recipe. I think these peppers have a good flavor with a nice amount of heat but isn't overwhelming. This brand doesn't taste as salty as many brands of pickled products can be. I will likely buy these again.
