Gold Scent Review
First and foremost, I respect the manner of which this was shipped. The bottle was enclosed in a bag, somewhat tightly. I imagine this was to minimize the chance of product spilling. Even when I managed to open the bottle through the bag, very little was spilled. But I digress. I'm a citrus guy, so I purchased the GOLD. It took me a while to get to this after ordering, so I simply and only remembered buying this because it was lemon scented. Upon pouring a dab into my palm, I smelled a hint of lemon but there was also a woodsy scent of various woods. The sandlewood was easy to identify, but the others I couldn't put my finger on until reading the bottle. So smell wise, thinking predominately sandlewood with other woods and a light layer of lemon. It's definitely a light yet earthy scent that's not very over-powering. Feel wise, this stuff feels like a creamy balm that is too warm to solidify or a fairly thick body lotion. I applied a bit fo my beard and facial hair before styling my beard into form. At first, I didn't notice any immediate difference. About an hour later I glanced in a mirror and noticed my beard was noticeably tighter. That is to say, the hairs appeared to come more together. I had practically no strays, which totally surprised me. So while I was a bit disappointed that my beard appeared to have shrunk a bit, I was thrilled because it looked like my beard was recently styled and any strays were dealt with accordingly. At this point, I expected the hair to be fairly rough or stiff, it was still quite soft. I don't mind dealing with a bit of shrinkage if it means the overall product looks nice and neat and doesn't feel coarse. I'm only a few days in, but I'm enjoying this product. Realistically I plan on making a switch to beard jelly. I likely will only revert back to my previous balm in the couple of days after trimming when my beard is more restrained. Aside from that this beard jelly is a pretty nice product. Good smell, and great end result.

Great stuff.
I've been using this beard jelly for a couple years now. It works well. Keeps my beard shiny and soft and keeps the skin underneath moisturized. It's not as oily as normal beard oil but more of a gel. It smells good but not overpowering at all. Overall I think my beard is healthier and one bottle lasts a long time. A little goes a long way.

A high quality product I am happy with
Scent: the main notes have a light citrus smell that is refreshing, soothing, and uplifting – but not energizing. The undertones have a woodsy (sometimes reminiscent of a campfire), mildly spicy fragrance; I can’t detect any floral notes. It is a manly scent that I love but wished it lasted longer since its gone 15-20 minutes after application. The wife and daughters like it, but they’ve each said it’s not their favorite. Bossman, seriously, see if you can make the scent longer lasting! Application: I apply a nickel-sized dollop when my face and beard are warm and damp, rubbing it in gently. It works for me and seems to absorb nicely. Usually, there is a residue left on my hands, but I rub it onto my neck and arms where it can also moisturize. After about 5 minutes of soak-in, I’ll apply the matching beard balm with it. Feel: It softens and conditions, and I can use it twice a day without feeling over-oiled. Some have said that it’s too heavy for daytime use, but I’ve not found that to be the case. Perhaps winter has something to do with it; it may feel different in the warmer months, I don’t know. It seems fine using it as part of my morning and evening routine. No staining of shirt collars, pillows, or the like. It’s a good quality product, and I like it a lot.

Great beard product!
I have an ill-behaved beard. There, I said it. I love my beard, I never plan on seeing my chin again, so im always looking for good beard products and unguents. This product is great! I already love Bossman, they are an excellent company that makes a good product, and this stuff is great. Thicker than standard beard oil, smells great, and helps banish beard itch, beardruff, and helps tame my wild chin mane. Recommend highly for my bearded brethren.

Thought I would give it a try, glad I did.
Gotta say, I wasn't sure about this stuff. But I like trying new things. I have to say, it's well worth it. It does a great job softening and taming my beard. The scent is nice, but not overwhelming like some I have tried. And they aren't kidding when they say a little goes a long way. My beard feels softer, is shinier, and is a little fuller. I am glad I tried it, and now will be coming back as long as I have the beard. Nice job folks.

This is for the Gold Scent
I recently started using this after watching dozens of videos, and i have to say i really like it, i use to just use a Simple Moroccan oil with Sandalwood oil added. But the lure of jelly oil peaked my curiosity enough to buy some. so here are my 2 big problems with this. 1. Scent does not last, you get maybe 10 minutes of scent and that is it for the rest of the day you will not smell it again. " i LOVE the Magic scent, Gold smells like a tree mixed with dirt" 2. This is beeswax based so if cold and not warmed up will leave what appears as dandruff in your beard if not warmed up or brushed in very well, and if it gets too cold it will solidify and clump and never be the same even if you melt it under hot water. I did a 2 week trip to the mountains and it got pretty cold and it basically ruined 2 bottles of this. Please please please you guys have great smells but figure out how to make them last! A few drops of sandalwood in Moroccan oil will leave a lingering scent all day that is pleasant to the nose. But it will leave a really nice shine and softness basically all day!

Must have for longer beards
Never written a review before but had to for this product. Have tried both the Gold and Magic (my fave) scents and can't recommend more highly. My beard is about 4 inches long and often beard oils don't moisturize my skin enough even with repeated application. This beard jelly solved that problem....easy to apply and get down to skin. Combine with the Bossman beard balm to help control and you are set. Also the price is more than fair...4 oz for $15 vs 1 oz of beard oil for often $20 or more. My first purchase was actually the combo with jelly, balm, and wash for like $25....I recommend that as it is a killer deal. I probably have 15 different beard oils currently and this is my go to on a daily basis.....again high quality product at a great price. October 19, 2019 Been using for over a year now and wanted to add a couple additional thoughts: 1. I still use the jelly on a daily basis. As others say it is great to leave in overnight, which I do sometimes, but I like to use in the morning after I shower. I like to let it sit in my beard for 30 mins or so before adding balm. 2. Stagecoach scent...leather, tobacco, bourbon....has overtaken Magic scent. Still love Magic but the Stagecoach is amazing. Scent is both strong and subtle at same time....smell lasts a long time but not over powering. Sorry hard to describe.

This stuff works!
This is a great product, and I have been using it daily for the last five days. Personally speaking, I do not mind the smell on the Gold, which has a bit of smokey, woody fragrance to it, and it does not feel overpowering to bother others when you put it on. I like it. I personally use this during evening hours, where you can easily keep your beard tamed but ultimately it will keep it hydrated really well. This is a bit different from other beard oils due to its thickness which I find it much more suitable for medium to longer beards. While I can't definitely say this helps in growing a beard, the main purpose to use this jelly is to help your beard hydrate well. 4oz of tube is of great convenience over drops, but this is just a minor added plus in my opinion. Lastly, I have noticed consistently this jelly retains great shine on your beard, and I love the shiny look, but if you don't, look for something else. This product shines and I highly recommend it.
