Works for me!
I love these things and have been using them for almost two years, so I was surprised by some of the negative reviews on it. I feel like some people may not understand a few key concepts with the filter so here’s some advice: 1: If your “filter floats to the top”, than you are overfilling your fountain. The water line should always remain below the filter level. It’s a gravity filter. 2: Someone called out the charcoal and ion(?) packets inside of the filter like they were disappointed it wasn’t covering the entire filter area? That’s normal, relax. They absorb bad stuff by being exposed to the water. They don’t need to cover the entire filter with charcoal and ion pellette packets.... You could literally drop them in the bottom of the fountain and they would still remove Impurities. They aren’t supposed to be sediment filters. The water cycles through and some of it flows over the packets, some of it doesn’t. In a few seconds that same water will cycle back through and some of it flow over the packets, some of it won’t... eventually, all of the water will have been exposed to the packets so they are doing their job. 3: I’ve never had a fit issue. These fit better than the originals. They usually have a little extra overlap which works even better for getting a snug good fit. 4: I have four cats using one cat-it fountain. These filters are usually still in good shape 2 weeks after putting a new one in...usually. Sometimes I think my fattest cat washes his face in it. If you rinse your fountain out weekly (recommended), rinse the filter off as well and you can surely get two weeks out of it without much concern. Any longer and I’d be concerned about bacteria. 5: The plastic goes down. Foam filter faces up. 6: If your water is foamy, clean the fountain! Gross. Scrub your fountain and soak it in a bleach solution for a few minutes. Install a new filter and your cats will thank you. Bacteria will eventually grow in the fountain. This isn’t an antibacterial filter people. Your cats mouths are all over it, clean that thing regularly!

Avoid the China based sellers
Perfect fit for the catit flower fountain. Works great too. Will continue to purchase these! Update: I'm surprised at all of the negative reviews. I wonder if people rinse theirs off after every water change...doesn't appear to be the case. I've been using these for about a year now and they work great. I only have one cat, so I can get about 3 weeks out of each filter. I change his water every other day. One thing I've found though, there are other sellers peddling inferior filters under this same listing. I recently used Amazon's "Buy it again" function and afterwards noticed that the seller was located in China. I've noticed this on other items as well. Amazon will look for the cheapest price and process the order through that seller. Aggravating. It took nearly a month to receive the filters. When they finally arrived, I found the filters were the wrong size. there is a 1/4" gap around the perimeter. Also, the cloth is so thick water doesn't flow through it. Water just flows over the sides of the filter through that 1/4" gap.. Sorry for the poor quality pics. Avoid the China based sellers!

Great for Kitties' Health
I keep a pack of these filters on-hand and change the filter in my Catit water fountain monthly. My kitties love the fresh, circulating water and often come running when they hear my filling it up. These are the perfect size for Catit fountains and work well to filter the water. I try not to go more than 1 month before changing them, but they hold up as long as I need them to.

Way cheaper than the originals and filter just as well.
I purchased these filters to use in my Catit Senses fountain. Catit Design Senses Fountain with Water Softening Cartridge, 3L I rinse and clean the filters every week, but don't change them super frequently, maybe every month to 6 weeks. Even so, it still got pretty pricey to keep buying the brand name ones. My three cats absolutely love the fountain, and I don't have the heart to force them to go back to the stagnant bowl (or the fresh, cool, toilet water- bleh!) so I would just suck it up and buy the filters. After finding these, I figured I'd give them a try since the 6 pack of these filters costs the same as the 2 pack of the brand name ones. As far as performance, they seem to filter just as well as the orignials. One of my cats is long haired with a big, fluffy scarf which she likes to dip in the fountain while she gets a drink. Her fur is always all over the top of the filter (and fountain, and everything else). About once a week, the output will get a little weak and I have to open up the fountain and pick her fur off of the pump, but I still had to do that even with the brand name filters. I haven't noticed any more, or more frequent, hair accumulation with these. The only real difference that I've noticed, and the reason for four stars instead of five, is that these filters seem to be just the tiniest bit smaller in diameter, and just a little thinner than the original ones. Like I said, they work just as well, but when first installed they tend to float up to the surface a little bit. Once the filter is saturated (and I guess when the fabric puffs up?) I'll push the filter down and it will finally stay. The brand name ones will fit snugly and be held down when the center part of the fountain is in place. The compartments where the filtering agents are held feel like they might be a little less full, but it may just be my imagination- I haven't weighed them or anything to tell for sure. All in all, I'll definitely keep buying these filters. The slight inconvenience of having to dodge a few swarming and yowling brats to push the filter down isn't the end of the world, and since they love their fountain so, it's something I just deal with. If you've found this helpful or have any questions, please let me know- it helps me to write quality, informative reviews :)

These seem to be good filters
I have two Catit fountains: the basic, blue plastic fountain. The other is the green flower fountain. I am happy to say that these filters are compatible with both of them. If memory serves, Catit discontinued the filters for the first generation fountain and release "new" filters for the green flower fountain and raised the prices accordingly. As long as the fountains are round and have the same general shape, these filters will fit regardless of which one you own. These seem to be a good alternative to the OEM filters and seem to work exactly the same and have the same three-stage filter on both of them. I would definitely recommend these filters to owners of at least the old blue fountain and the green flower fountain. I do not own the LED fountain or the stainless steel ones so I do not know if they work with those. These filters are very reasonably priced and you can get them pretty much in bulk. Save yourself some money and pick these filters up instead of overpaying for Catit branded filters if you can find them. If I find any information or notice anything that contradicts my experience with them, I will update my review accordingly.

My dogs love this water bowl!
Loved the design and ease of set up and cleaning. I used to own another product that was so hard to disassemble and clean, so that was important to me. This is a breeze to clean, and also to fill. I wish the bowl were a little sturdier. If you try to fill without the lid, the sides push out of shape and can spill easily. I'd buy this product again. I hope the pump lasts a while, as it was a problem with the last unit I had, too. It is very quiet and the dogs just love drinking from it. One of my Goldens likes to put his entire face in the water bowl, blow bubbles, and then drag buckets of water all over the floor. This unit's design helps prevent that. He still dribbles water after drinking, just not so much.

Only lasts about 2 weeks
I bought these because the last Catit brand ones I bought were no better than the cheap ones (at least one was a floater). This is my second time buying these and quite possibly my last. I bought 2 pkgs of 6 in August 2024. Those 12 lasted me until September 2025. I do remember there being 1 or 2 duds in the batch, with some not lasting long at all, but overall I had 12 filters that lasted 12 months. I ordered another box of 6 in September 2025 and put the first one in on 9/26. Today is 12/6 and I have already gone through 4 filters and am pretty much due to change it again. These have all been absolute garbage and their complete failure has me looking at different fountains altogether. I have the same 2 cats and the same fountain. I change the filter when I notice that the water doesn't seem to run through it anymore (i.e., when I add water, it just accumulates on top). I give the bowl a thorough cleaning and replace the filter. I usually do this once a month or so. However, since Sept I have had to replace the filters every 2-3 weeks, with the cats' bowl being overgrown with algae. It's disgusting! I have never had this issue before. The filters definitely work better than just running the fountain with no filter, but I am getting nowhere close to 30 days out of these and it's exceptionally disappointing. I've included pictures of some of the grimy filters with time stamps, as well as my written record of when I changed each filter. I started documenting after I realized the first one only lasted a couple weeks.
