I chose this larger size because it’s big enough to cover a person (most people, anyway). The smaller “pan” size would probably be the more practical everyday option, but I keep thinking about bigger problems—something happening to a kid or my dog. Big for big trouble. It’s large enough that it could help cover someone trying to get through a fire as safely as possible. I’m planning for a tragedy I’d never want to face, but I’d rather have the extra coverage if the worst happens. The blanket is very easy to use. It comes in a bag with two pull straps—just tug and it deploys. It feels well-made, has a solid weight to it, and is designed to be used more than once (something I sincerely hope I never need). For everything it offers, the price is a good value.

This I believe was a good safety purchase. As with fire extinguishers, I hope I don't have to report on how well they work. One thing I will say is that I purchased the large one. It is harder to spread and throw around. Thinking the package of two smaller blankets would make the most sense, because after looking at the smaller blanket measurements, those are big enough to cover most surfaces that could start a fire.

These are great tools that take up no space and work great! Put under a seat in the car, in kitchen and anywhere you think a fire extinguisher is needed. These really work well!

There are more fire sources in our homes these days than ever! I thought these Fire Suppression Blankets are ideal to have on every level of our homes. Safety first is more important than ever!

Bought this becusee I live in a high rise and want to be able to evacuate through flames, if necessary. I keep it by the bed along with a fire proof pouch holding essentials like passport and cash, in case there's nothing left. This blanket can also be used to smother small fires. Recommend buying a smaller size to smother fires. This size can be too heavy to toss around. Haven't had to use it, knock wood. It seems large and substantial enough to provide protection evacuating through flames. If there's time, recommend jumping in the shower to wet down your clothes before covering up with this blanket and running through fire. Another item that would be useful is a rebreather/respirator to avoid smoke inhallation. Used in naval ships at sea, they are expensive and have to be handled with caution. Another option is bottled air, also expensive.

I hope I never have to use it but I am glad I bought it. The blanket seems well made and is big. I also bought 4 Prepared Hero Fire Blanket Hooks, used one on the wall to hand my fire blanket.
