Sand Tactical Boots

I’ve worn side-zip boots, both dress and work boots, for 40 years as they’re easy to get on and off plus support your ankle better than regular shoes. Unfortunately, they seem to be getting harder and harder to find, especially with respect to dress boots. The last pair of work boots I bought, approximately two years ago and for over $100, are getting worn and, after 2-3 hours of yard work, including pushing the mower for an hour, were causing my feet to ache and swell so much that I would be hobbling around a day or two afterwards until my feet felt better. I found these on Amazon and thought I’d give them a try. I’m glad I did, especially given the price. I’ve worn them three times doing yard work, and they are so, so, so much more comfortable than the boots I had been wearing, and they seem to getting more comfortable with each use. Most importantly, my feet don’t ache nor have they swollen after wearing these boots for several hours. They also look nice (I bought the black ones) and I wouldn’t have a problem wearing them as casual dress shoes. A few other thoughts and opinions: The upper eyelets are actually little tubes that the lace runs through. In my opinion, they’re a little bit harder to pull the laces through than ordinary eyelets and over time would probably abrade the laces faster than regular eyelets, but since the zipper eliminates the need to regularly tie and untie the laces, this probably isn’t a big deal. On the plus side, eyelets are better than speed hooks as the laces would probably come off the hooks when the boots are unzipped. The sole appears to be a little softer than some work boots I’ve owned, and as a result will probably wear a bit faster when walking on surfaces like asphalt and concrete. Time will tell. I have yet to wear them on wet or icy surfaces or in the snow, so it will be interesting to see how they compare to the soles on other boots I’ve owned. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase, especially given the price, and will probably order another pair.

Great gift! My boyfriend LOVES them. There was a mishap at his job where hot boiling oil sprayed out all over his feet and ankles, these boots SAVED HIS FEET and did not melt even a little bit. They are super durable. Got them as a Christmas gift, it’s now August and they’re still holding up. The back of the shoes still have not been shaved down. He wears them almost everyday. The zipper still works smoothly as well. Amazing quality for its price! He also says they’re comfortable.

Very comfortable but won’t last a year

These boots are fantastic, especially for delivery drivers. They fit exceptionally well and are suitable for any climate. They don’t feel too heavy, and the interior is quite soft. If you’ll be on your feet all day, I recommend wearing a double pair of socks. They last about six months, and I wear them five days a week.

These are my everyday work boots. They are nice, heavy weight. I love the material and I love that they fit under my work pants. Overall 5 stars

These are exactly what I have been looking for. They are comfortable and the side zipper works great. Perfect for motorcycle riding.

LAPD side zipper boots got these beat in that the zipper terminates another 1" further down almost to the top of the thick sole. Makes a world of difference to a man who has had 3 spine surgeries(last 2 being major revisions). Everytime I bend over to do "shoe work, lol", it deducts 10 minutes from my work day! It is extremely painful, but have to work so I can keep spending $ on Amazon. I could not get these boots on or off when tied tight & zipper down. Was horrible trying to kick the boot w/zipper down, off w/the other foot. Trying to slip my foot in!!! It was still impossible when standing & putting all of my weight into it, shimmying & wiggling my foot from side to side. Don't buy these unless you are healthy, have superman leg strength or just want a pair of cheap boots that you plan on tying and untying totally disregarding the zipper. The quality is what you would expect for the price. Chinese %#<^. Not comfortable at all either. Even with a pair of soles from a brand new pair of cross country Nikes. They are pretty heavy for tactical boots. If the company would add another inch of zipper to "make this right", it would probably add another 25 pounds. Hmmmm

Great price, very well made and comfortable. Very warm and lets your feet dry. Nicely finished inside and out. No side friction on the ankle and heels. The perfect boot. Weight is quite reasonnable. Good zippers. Well designed.

Excellente bottes pour le prix. Difficile à battre. Chaudes, confortables et elles respirent et gardent vos pieds au sec. Je les utilise pour faire de la raquette et je cherchais une botte légère. Je les recommande.
