The biggest purchase regret I’ve done for the last 7 years of Amazon shopping “Absolute garbage! This so-called 'Japanese' knife is a complete sham. It couldn't even slice through butter without chipping, let alone cutting meat! Save your money and buy a plastic butter knife instead. I've never been so disappointed with a purchase in my life. Zero stars if I could!"

Absolutely beautiful knife! I bought this knife for my husband who had been complaining that my 25 year old German made knives were not honing very well anymore. He loves this knife so much that he hand-crafted the most beautiful knife block and matching cutting board just for it. He even crafted a small box to hold the vial of oil. I plan to purchase the others in this set as I can afford to do so. It is such a pleasure to purchase and use a knife of great quality. Thank you!

This is the second knife we have bought from this company. They are beautiful showpieces, and also perform well as chef's knives. This knife has good balance, feels nice in hand, and the wide cleaver blade makes it a very handy tool in the kitchen. My husband is the chef at home, and uses this knife more frequently than others... He's 6'4“, and has lots of strength to weild this knife safely! I'm 5'1“, and this knife is a little heavy for me, so I use it carefully. Keeps a sharp edge for a long time.

I work in an institutional kitchen and I use my knives all day long. Carving turkey, meatloaf, giant pork loins, cases upon cases of chicken. It’s a lot. And this knife slides right through all of it. I keep it quite sharp and it holds its edge for months even through the very heavy usage. Would totally recommend and buy again. Happy cooking!

J'ai acheté ce couteau durant le temps des fêtes avec un superbe rabais de 50% . Et je ne suis pas déçu jusqu'à présent !! Tranchant a souhait, finition incroyable, bien balancé et poids parfait!! Prix plus que respectable pour ce couteau. J'envisage d'acheter le couteau de chef de 8 pouces et le couperet de la même série dans un avenir rapproché tellement je suis en amour avec !! Le coffret en bois est solide et très jolie. Je recommande !!
