This popcorn maker is awesome. The kids absolutely love it, and the smell of fresh popcorn fills the house just like a movie theater. It was super easy to set up. I had it ready to go in about 5 minutes. It is a great size too. Big enough to make plenty of popcorn for the family, without taking up a ton of counter space. We used it at a backyard party last night, and it was a huge hit with everyone in the neighborhood. Definitely a 10 out of 10 purchase.

This machine is made with fragile plastic materials, but the Westbend stirring pot part works great and this machine makes great popcorn just like the movies. I use the Flavocol Salt and the butter flavor coconut oil. I have made several batches so far and it is interesting that the standard yellow popcorn pops up fluffier and more flavorful than the so-called premium popcorn do. It says that in the instruction booklet. It is an attractive little machine that fits on my countertop. The only issue I have with it is the rather flimsy feeling plastic material the cabinet is made of. So far I have not had any cracking or breaking issues, but you do have to be gentle with it as things are glued together and the stir-pot itself is affixed to the inside plastic side panels with what appears to be epoxy tape. I clean it after each use by dropping the stir-pot and wiping it, the floor and the side panels out with a damp rag. It takes actually less time to do that than washing an oily pan from the stove top. The nice thing is that from start to finish it takes about 4 minutes to complete a batch and the corn is just like movie popcorn. One thing you have to be careful with is to not put more than 2 tbsp of oil in the popper because more than that will splatter out and make a few melt-pits on the front panel. The kernel catcher that collects the unpopped kernels through the grate on the floor of the machine is just a thin plastic insert that is subject to melt pits from the hot kernels. The advantage here is that you get no unpopped kernels to ruin your expensive dental work in your bowl!

Okay so this arrived and we waited all day to finally use it as a family and let me tell you, the machine worked flawlessly, no smoke, no weird plastic smell or taste. It was smooth and delicious! We popped great northern popcorn in it and then paired that with flavorcol popcorn salt and snippys popcorn oil on top and lord have mercy! It was like my childhood all over again, just delicious. The machine popped pretty quickly and in seconds had my white home smelling like a mall theater. I'm not even bothered that it doesn't keep the popcorn warm after popping as it's really good once cooled to room temperature, my only complaint is the door that extends open to get to popcorn, it's flimsy and pops in and out way to easily causing a mess if it pops out. I wish it latched in better, though I understand why it's way to easy to pop in and out. It's annoying with small kiddos who love to snack on popcorn. Little hands pull it off. It's also a bit of a pain to clean, though that's probably going to be most if not all popcorn machines soo, I'm not mad about it. Otherwise 10 out of 10 recommend this! It's precious and worth the money for the little moments in life with your family and loved ones. It brought so much joy to my children's day and as a parent I couldn't be happier.

I consider this a starter kit because I didn't know what I was looking for when I bought it. Now I wish I had spent the extra $50 and purchased one with a warmer. As with any review I do, here are the pros and cons for me: Pros • Affordable • Pops fast • Easy to use • Looks festive Cons • Popcorn comes out semi-warm, but because there is no warmer to keep it warm… by the time you sit down it is cold (this is the biggest issue for me) • Not a lot of room in the opening. So, if you have big hands, it’s hard to get the popcorn, butter, etc into the kettle as well as scooping out the popcorn • No internal light • Only one switch which controls the kettle and the stirrer (other brands have separate switches for them as well as a switch for a warmer) • No auto-shut off. You have to sit by it and wait to turn it off or else it will burn

Ik had de West Bend Popcorn Machine order vrijwel direct weer geannuleerd, maar dit werd genegeerd en een dag later is deze alsnog naar mij verzonden. - Aan de vele stickers op de doos kun je zien dat deze al meerdere keren geretourneerd was. - Een gebroken stuk plastic van de binnenkant onderin, lag los buiten de verpakking in de doos. - De aansluiting van het roerstaafje bovenin zit helemaal scheef. - Het onder klepje onder de deur past niet goed. - Bijzonder slecht afgewerkt, of behoorlijk toegetakeld. Dit is moedwillig naar de klant gestuurd om te dumpen. De retourservice is in Nederland onbekend en dus wordt ook nog verwacht dat je dit op eigen kosten naar de UK retourneert. Schandalig.

Great popcorn maker - works as expected. Similar to other comments about it feeling cheap with the amount of plastic, although, given how much things are nowadays, I’m not surprised. I still love this popcorn maker and don’t regret buying it.

It only works on 120V which i didnt know except after receiving it and I had to buy an expensive converter in a very short time to be able to use it in the party, this should be clearly communicated or at least on the package print and not in the manual fine print as it is now since it is sold in UK from UK seller.
