House Guard Sliding Patio Door Handle Set, Mortise Lock, 3-15/16", Black

This handle is cast in aluminum, not in zinc pot metal, which should make it more durable than the zinc ones. There is a standard for the screw placement and lever position for these sliding door handles and this one is compliant. That made it easy to replace a broken handle in my relative's home, where quick, good, and cheap must all come together! I would use this brand/model again.

good quality and easy to install. I wasn't sure how it would go replacing the original handle on my sliding glass door but this one fit right in and all works great. The lock lines up and the handles feel solid. All good.

Looks good and was easy to install. It was a replacement for a broken handle and said it was compatible with my door. However, the locking mechanism didn’t line up but I still kept it and it’s just fine.

I really thought this door handle was going to be a dream come true because all the pieces and measurements matched up perfectly. I started by removing the old handle and installing the new one, only to discover that it had additional dowels on the back that didn't fit into the existing holes. Apparently, you need the proper drill bits to enlarge the holes, which I didn't have, so there went that plan. Then I decided to just replace the locking mechanism. Again, I thought it was going to be a dream come true—and it was for a couple of locks, until it wasn't. The latch stopped working altogether. Needless to say, my door still won't lock.

This replacement handle looks great, and all of the measurements matched my door perfectly. The mounting holes lined up without any issues, but there were small metal tabs/extensions on the handle that prevented it from sitting flush against the door. Because of that, the handle feels loose around the latch area, and the lock doesn’t engage properly. In the end, I ended up using my old handle with the new latch and outside handle to make it work. Overall, it seems well made, but the extra metal pieces made it incompatible with my setup

Our old handle broke on our patio door so we grabbed this as a replacement and it worked out great—the screw hole spacing matched up perfectly so installation was simple without needing to modify anything or drill new holes, and it functions just as smooth as the original handle did, sliding and locking without any sticking or resistance. Feels solid and well made too, not flimsy or cheap like some options were priced similarly out there, and the white finish matches our door nicely so it doesn’t look out of place or like an obvious replacement part. Way cheaper and easier than replacing the whole sliding door just because of one broken handle, glad we found this to fix it instead.

Delivered today, 4 days earlier than stated. Well packaged, quality of product exceptional and easy to fit. I recommend this product.

It fit and works.

Although it appears to be a direct replacement for my unit, it falls slightly short in that the mechanism seems a bit weird. It does work but it seems sensitive to its position before latching (hard to explain) it likes to be protruding slightly before closing door and latching. I’ve tried all the adjustments to the heights and jam latch without success, it just wants to be a bit qwerky.
