This is an excellent addition to the Ticket to Ride family of games - it adds new cards and new issues - so new challenges. After the original ticket to ride and Europe ticket to ride this is the next best and great because of the new map and new terrain cards which simulates the difficulty of building railways into the 'heart of darkness'. Please note this is an expandsion pack and you must have the original Ticket to Ride to play - as you need the pieces and cards from the main game.

This is an extension pack for the original Ticket to Ride game. I think each version of the game has slight differences apart from the new maps which keep it interesting. This is such a great game, we’ve played with loads of different people (some of whom were not keen to play a board game, but were soon hooked) everyone has really loved this game.

As a family we love all the ticket to ride games. They are great fun to play and every time they are played it's a different outcome. Hours of fun in a box

Hard core ticket to ride fans only! This is great fun and lots of fun (as you expect with ticket to ride) and introduces a new game mechanic without being overly complex and introducing dozens of counters and tokens (like ttr Netherlands or marklin). The art work is beautiful (again as usual) and the board itself is finely crafted. And the price (provided you get it at rrp) makes it a bargain!

A very enjoyable expansion for the Ticket to Ride Base game introducing the new terrain card mechanism. This creates a nice interaction between players and means that you need to time the laying of routes in a more strategic fashion. After several playthroughs I enjoy this but it has only 4 stars simply because I prefer the India and legendary Asia expansions - this is personal preference and it certainly makes a nice change from Europe so I do recommend if you are a fan of the game.

Absolutely love the ticket to ride series, and really enjoy this map. My boyfriend isn't the biggest fan as he finds it a bit too much trying to collect the terrain cards as well as the trains but I enjoy the added dynamic. Good quality board with vibrant colours.

This game is seriously good. Is suggest starting with the classic US map first, as it's the most Steiger forward to learn. It gets more complicated on the other maps when you add different unique aspects, such as tunnels and special routes or bonus cards. But this is a great map and has added loads of fun to our game nights

A friend told me about this game which they enjoyed. I love maps so decided to buy the Africa Ticket to Ride as was £22 compared to others at over £30. What I didn’t realise and it does not say on the website is that this game can only be played if you have bought the original (Ticket to Ride Europe I think). That game comes with a set of pieces you need in order to play every game and is approx £39. We opened the game which comes with a set of instructions, a board and some cards. We looked under the packaging thinking there was more but NO that is it. If you have bought this for Christmas then you won’t be able to play the game unless you have the first game (Europe). The website should make it much clearer we feel were misled and could have been a miserable day if we had opened it on Christmas Day. We thought it would be a good idea to see what it was all about so glad we opened it before! Amazon were very good and we are posting it back for a refund but it is annoying as we have to parcel it up to return.

une superbe édition de ce jeu "classique". Le plateau est magnifique. Seul regret: ce n'est pas l'Afrique complète, mais seulement le sud de l'Afrique. Nouvelle règle avec les cartes "terrain", ça apporte du renouveau aux Aventuriers "USA" et "Europe" aux règles classiques. Possibilité de jouer à 2, contrairement aux autres cartes plus grandes. Idéal pour 3.

This is not as advertised a complete set. It only consist of a board with Central and Southern Africa and destinations only. No playing cards, no trains and tokens. Extremely disappointed to have paid for a game I can do nothing with.
