Rough Country Forged Aluminum Upper Control Arms for 12-18 Ram 1500-31201RED

Truck rides great now. I’ve had my truck leveled on Bilstein 5100s for years and needed to do upper control arms. Install was as simple as you could get. These slipped right in place. Night and day difference after installing these wish I had put these in years ago.

Lifesaver, couldn't find this part anywhere, even on company website. Looked on Amazon and found it, exact fit, sturdy, worked great with lift can't complain on price it was very reason able and quick delivery. It's been a little getting the alignment right but after 3 visits to the shop it's good. If we ever have to buy again we will definitely buy same ones again.

In March I put a 6" full strut Rough Country suspension lift in my 2015 Ram 1500. I had 35s on the truck but wanted bigger tires so I got 37s then decided to do a 2.5" front level and 2.5" rear spacers bringing my total lift to 8.5" and 37" tires. I stay local with my truck but I hated the ride after doing the extra 2.5" I was not happy at all to the point I was going to pull it out and go with 2" body lift to get that nice ride back. I decided I'd try these RC UCA's and see if it helped because I had concerns about the stock upper ball joints failing due to the angle. The job took me aprox 15 min each side and as soon as I hit my first bump I know I smiled. For a truck as big as mine is I couldn't be happier with the ride now. These things are perfect and they look great to and definitely safer then using the stock set up if your planning on adding a lift or a level. If your unsure if you want to pull the trigger or not on these don't overthink it and just do it. Best ad on I coulda done for my truck!

So far so good. About 30k on these with a level lift and then a 2” lift in back to Maintain the factory rake but higher. Sitting on 34.9” tires on 20’s can’t remember the exact tire size as I type this. 2012 Ram 1500. I replaced every piece of suspension at 175k drives like a 2025. These uppers fit perfectly.

These were simple to put on, don’t follow all the YouTube videos, just loosen the 18 mm bolts at the bushings, loosen your ball joint nut (make sure you keep it) take lower tiered nut off, beat the control arm within an inch of its life or beat the ba-jezzzus out of it, to loosen ball joint then do the reverse. 25 minute max if you pause to drink coffee. My only complaint was the nut and spacer that come with it. Had spacer goes above nut, also the nuts that came with mine were not the correct size for the ball joint stud, which is why I stated to save original. Much better geometric angle than before and so far so good. For the two miles driven.

Well made control arm. It fit on my 2019 RAM 1500 Classic 2WD with the 2” leveling spring from RC. It took care of the improper ball joint angle of the stock arm. No more locking out going over a speed bump. Direct fit. Make sure you grease the ball joint before driving. I would recommend extending the brake lines as well as at full droop with wheel turned, the brake line is tight.

If you are considering these.. NOTE: the BALL JOINT --- Warranty 1yr NOT lifetime. I feel ripped off thinking it was Lifetime Warranty... Now, if I only purchased just the ball joint I would understand the 1yr warranty.

Works. Alignment works for a 2.5” level. 315/70/17s. Clears the tire.

Easy to put on. Easy to grease. With 3" level the alignment was back within factory specs. Used a zip tie that wasn't supplied to tie up speed sensor that was attached to factory units.

Doesn’t state it would, but they fit my 2006 just fine. See the pics to compare to factory. No clearance issues. Angle of the ball joint is far better. Most other knock offs say they fit the same years so I tried and they worked fine. Easy to put it, no bending brackets or anything as some mention. Price is great for forged aluminum UCAs with ball joints and bushings. Love em!

So far, so good. I installed these last week along with a full set of Bilstein lift struts and shocks. My 2014 Ram 1500 has 92k on it, so the oem stuff was getting a little tired and I wanted to put in a small lift as well. Initial thoughts, these arms feel great. Stiffer and more controlled steering than the stamped steel factory units. The quality looks good, nice fit and finish and the bushings look OEM. The install was straight forward and they sit correct with the lift installed. Less worried about my front end with the new 35" tires with these in. No rubbing either. So far, yes I would recommend these if you are looking to add a lift or leveling kit.

Definitely an upgrade over the stock UCA. But in my case the RC UCA's didn't fit very well at all. The were 1/4" too wide so I had to pry the mounts on truck open to fit. The spacer rings provided also then had zero chance of fitting. But I got them in and torqued up and they work fine for their intended purpose. I have 2 inch daystar strut spacer on top of bilstein 6112's set at 1.2 (3.2" of lift)

Great quality control arms. Had to use a little 'love' to get them in because the bracket on the frame is a tight fit. Make sure you grease em before you install. I seen a few people make that mistake. Loved the vehicle specific product catalog.... would of preferred a rough country sticker. A buddy got a rough country sticker for ordering N3 shocks... which were half the price...
