Mrs. Stewart's Liquid Bluing

I love Mrs. Stewart’s Liquid Bluing. I use it to whiten sheets and revive old towels, and it has saved me so much money because I have not had to replace linens that were starting to look dull or dingy. This brought them right back to life. The key is to use it correctly. I do not pour it directly onto fabric. I dilute it in water first, then add it to the wash or rinse water so it distributes evenly. A little goes a long way, so I start small and follow the bottle directions rather than overdoing it. When used properly, it makes whites look brighter and fresher without the harshness of bleach. This has become one of my favorite laundry products. It is affordable, effective, and perfect for sheets, towels, and older linens that need a refresh. I am very happy with the results and will keep buying it.

I purchased the Mrs. Stewart's Concentrated Liquid Bluing, 8-ounce pack of 2, and I’m really impressed. First off, this stuff lasts forever. You barely need any to get the job done, so the small bottles go a long way. Buying the two-pack was a smart choice. It was cheaper than buying single bottles, and I’m giving one to my mom while keeping one for myself. It’s nice to know I’ll have a backup bottle for a long time, and it feels like a thoughtful gift for her as well. The liquid bluing works exactly as expected. It keeps whites bright and helps prevent dinginess in laundry. It’s super concentrated, so a little really goes a long way, making it very economical in the long run. One important note: make sure you read the instructions closely before use and be careful when opening the bottles. The liquid is very concentrated and can stain surfaces or skin if spilled, so handle it with care. Overall, this is a simple, classic product done right. If you want something reliable, long-lasting, and cost-effective for keeping your whites bright, I highly recommend this two-pack.

Mrs. Stewarts has been around for decades. Quality survives, junk doesn't. It is strong and it only takes several drops to whiten a load of laundry. It's an alternative to bleach for white clothes and can be used on some materials that are not cotton. We have a 10 year old Samsung front loader and it is harder to use this with this washer. Once this washer starts the door locks. Mrs. Stewarts needs to be diluted and should not be applied to whites at full strength as it will make them bluish white. This would be easier to use in a top loader. If the softener reservoir in our washer was larger we could put a more diluted Mrs. Stewarts solution in that and that would work better for us.

This product has been sold virtually unchanged for well over a century. It works. But you do have to understand what it is and how it works. White laundry that is dull and dingy may be physically dirty despite having been washed (some dirt can be difficult to get out), or it may be chemically stained. For physical dirt, you’re just going to have to wash it with good detergent. For chemical stains, use chlorine bleach or an oxygen bleach such as Oxy. For some stains, you may need a specialized stain remover. And some stains are just hopeless. This product is not a detergent. It’s not a bleach. It’s not a stain remover. Your laundry has to be basically white to begin with for bluing to do any good. So what is this product? What is bluing? It’s a weak blue dye (weak once it’s diluted). Used correctly, it will shift your whites very slightly blue. The effect is very subtle. It’s such a slight color shift that your eyes will still perceive it as white. But, shifting white very slightly to blue makes it look “brighter.” The human eye actually perceives a very slightly blue shade as whiter than white. This is why many “fabric softener” and liquid laundry detergent products are blue. It’s why many powdered laundry detergents have blue crystals in them. The effect is not dramatic. Don’t expect your gray towels to suddenly glow in the dark. Your whites must be basically clean and white to begin with. Adding a touch of bluing is a “finishing touch.” It adds that last bit that will put your whites “over-the-top.” Straight out of the bottle, this product is a powerful blue dye. To use it to achieve this “last finishing touch” very slight blue shift, you’ll use just a fraction-of-a-teaspoon of this product into a batch of white laundry. You must dilute that fraction-of-a-teaspoon of this product in a quart or two of water. I use this product in a front-loading High-efficiency front-loading washer. I use this product diluted in water in place of fabric softener and it works great. It’s

Purchased not knowing what to expect but it sounded good. It is! Fabrics feel nicer, have less static and whites are whiter. Wouldn't have believed it; now I do.

Mrs. Stewart's Concentrated Liquid Bluing: Revives Whites Safely, But Consider Alternatives Mrs. Stewart's Concentrated Liquid Bluing has been a popular laundry additive for decades, promising to restore the brightness of white fabrics. Here's a look at its features, potential benefits and drawbacks, to help you decide if it's the right choice for your laundry routine: Pros: Whitening Effect: Many users report that this bluing effectively brightens white fabrics, removing yellowing and dullness, especially noticeable on aged or frequently washed whites. Safe for Fabrics: Unlike bleach, bluing is generally considered safe for most white fabrics, including synthetics, as it doesn't contain harsh chemicals. Biodegradable and Non-Toxic: This product is formulated with biodegradable ingredients and is non-toxic, making it an attractive option for those concerned about environmental impact and harsh chemicals. Concentrated Formula: A little goes a long way, making it an economical choice. Cons: Temporary Effect: The whitening effect of bluing is temporary and fades over time with subsequent washes. Blue Tint: While subtle, the bluing can leave a slight blue tint on fabrics, which might not be desirable for all users. Not a Stain Remover: It is not effective in removing stains and should not be used as a substitute for stain removers or laundry detergents. Limited Availability: Finding Mrs. Stewart's bluing in stores can be challenging, and online options might have limited reviews. Overall: Mrs. Stewart's Concentrated Liquid Bluing is a budget-friendly and safe option for those seeking to brighten white fabrics without harsh chemicals. However, the temporary effect, blue tint, and limited stain removal capabilities are important to consider. Here are some additional points to keep in mind: Alternatives to consider: For a more permanent whitening solution, oxygen-based stain removers or specialized whitening detergents might be more effective. Spot test before use: As with any laundry product, it's recommended to do a spot test on an inconspicuous area of the fabric to check for colorfastness. If you're looking for a safe and traditional way to brighten your whites occasionally, Mrs. Stewart's Bluing could be worth trying. However, if you need a permanent whitening solution, stain removal, or readily available options, explore alternative products.

It did what it was ment to do, it made my whites nice and looking cleaner.

原液の量は水量62L(うちの縦型洗濯機のMAX)に対して10滴ほど。
