These solved the issue of open style J hooks coming undone. I had enough worrying about the J hooks leaving our motorcycles vulnerable. After my son's motorcycle fell off of the rack I decided to look into this style of clip.These locking carabiner clips solved the issue. I cut the open J style hooks off of our motorcycle tiedowns and I use these exclusively now. Their load rating far exceeds what they will ever see strapping dirt bikes down. I highly recommend using these for similar situations. Their quality is excellent.

Not meant for cliff climbing but all other reasons its a great med duty product. I was trying to find the right quick clip to tie my large dog and this works perfect!
