This set is absolutely adorable! The kit comes with the gel polish and a matching mini lamp, a set of gel removal wraps (10), a set of manicure prep pads (2), a miniature nail file, and a miniature cuticle pusher. I’ve been using Le Mini Macaron polishes for almost a year now, and I love how easy they are to work with! Whether I’m painting simple coats of color, or crafting nail art, LMM polishes make the process simple and fun! I purchased the Coconut Yogurt kit, so my polish and lamp were a super pale shade of pink, similar to the Essie cult classic “Ballet Slipper”. This color is the perfect shade, beautiful on any skin color and a classic one-polish-manicure color! Because it’s also a neutral shade, it also works as a beautiful base color for nail art! The lamp fits in the palm of your hand, making it super easy to use and to take with you on the go! It’s crafted to allow you to dry one nail at a time, making this the perfect lamp to use while traveling, or even to do touch ups! The duo of the mini nail file and cuticle pusher are the ultimate mani prep tools! The file is perfect for shaping your nails and prepping the surface (having a lightly filed surface gives the polish something to hold on to, making your mani last much longer!). The cuticle pusher is about to become your best friend; not only can you use the silicone end to prep your cuticles, but you can use the thin and angled end to clean up any polish that gets on your skin, which is super important! Any polish that gets on the cuticle or skin surrounding your nails will prevent the polish from curing properly, which leads to peeling and chipping. This was my second time using the gel polish removal wraps and I have to say I liked them much better this time! After lightly filing my previous manicure, I wrapped my nails in these and let them sit for about 25 minutes. When I took off the wraps, the polish (all LMM shades) had completely lifted! This was my first time using the manicure prep pads, and I found them to be perfect for removing any filing dust or oil from the surface of your nails right before you start polishing. Lastly, the kit comes with one full size gel nail polish, which is the same color as the lamp! This was the first time I ordered through Amazon (I usually order LMM from Ulta Beauty), and I have to say I was pleased with the experience. My LMM kit arrived within a week of placing my order. The only downside was that the kit package was dented in one spot, but none of the actual products were damaged or missing. I have been using Le Mini Macaron for a little over a year and I recently received the Lilac Blossom DIY Gel Manicure Kit. I am so happy that the kit now comes with an upgraded LED Nail Dryer Lamp that is USB Type C! This kit includes everything you will need to make your nails beautiful and be out the door in no time! You get a fabulous gel shade, a mini one finger dryer lamp, 2 manicure prep pads, a cuticle stick, a nail file, and 10 wraps to remove your polish! As someone who has been using LMM for a bit, I find that practice definitely makes perfect especially in the beginning! It is instrumental to prep your nails. I use the included file to lightly buff the surface of my nails – this is done so that the polish can get into the grooves you create and really stick to the base! Then I clean my nails off with the manicure prep pad – this helps remove any oils that are on your nails, again a really important step for that first base coat! Once my nail beds are prepped and ready to go, I always start with an incredibly light and thin first coat that I cure with the lamp. From there, I apply a normal amount of polish to my nails and cure again. You can do more coats of polish as you wish (curing with the lamp after each coat) and even apply the LMM Gel Top Coat for a fabulous shine! In the beginning, because I was learning how to do my nails, it would take me longer to complete my hands, but with time and practice, I’ve gotten better and it now takes less time. I’m able to sit on my couch or my bed and stream a show and be done within that time frame for a simple mani. I am hard on my nails, I’m a working mom that washes dishes by hand at times and I use my nails and fingers for several things that I probably shouldn’t, like scraping stickers off! With that said, I do experience peeling at the tips occasionally, however, again I recognize that I am not gentle with my nails. My cup half full observation here is that by owning this kit, I can fix any nail at home and on my time without having to wait or make an appointment. I also love that I can change my nail color when I am ready! The quality of LMM gel polish and products overall is phenomenal! There are many things I really love about this brand and at home gel manicures. There are a ton of colors to select from, the price point fits my budget, and most importantly, I can do my nails when it is convenient for me. I’m not having to schedule an appointment and take time out of my busy working mom day to go to a salon. Don’t get me wrong, I love being pampered but the reality of my life is that my days are hectic with a full-time job, two kids, a dog, a husband, and adulting responsibilities. Le Mini Macaron gives me the opportunity to feel pretty and put together on my time. It also gives me the joy of bonding with my daughter when we do manis & pedis at home which is much easier on my wallet as well!

I couldn’t handle the strong chemical smell of the polish. It forced me to use a mask which i dont like wearing. It was so bad that i ended up just throwing the whole thing away. Waste of money. Also the polish is streaky and probably last about 4 days before it chips or peels.

I have been using Le Mini Macaron for the past couple of years now, and I’ve never been so impressed with a product. I had never gotten my nails professionally done let alone have a gel manicure before discovering LMM, but the idea of being able to do my own salon quality nails anywhere and everywhere really appealed to me. I will admit, it was a bit of a learning curve when I started out using the mini kit, but once I had practiced a few times and watched the tutorials online, I felt like a pro! The mini kit has everything you need and once you get the hang of it, it will change your life! My tips for a successful manicure are: 1) Prep is everything! The mini kit comes with a cuticle pusher (you’ll want to use the soft white end to ensure you uncover the entire nail surface) and a nail file (great for shaping the nails). LMM recommends buffing the nails with the file for the nail polish to stick, but I like to use a sanding nail block as I find it’s gentler on the nail surface. After you push your cuticles back, and file and buff your nails, it’s time to clean the nail surface to remove the dust and oils. This is very important so the nail polish can adhere to a clean surface. You can use an alcohol pad for this and make sure you get all the crevices of the nails! 2) Once your nails are completely prepped, don’t touch anything that can transfer oils back onto your nails - phone, face, hair, etc. This ensures the nail surface will stay clean. 3) You’ll want to shake the bottle for 30 seconds to make sure the nail polish is completely mixed, as it is a three-in-one gel polish. Base coat, color coat, and top coat are all included in the gel polish, so no extra steps necessary in painting! 4) Now it’s time to paint! After making sure the gel polish has been mixed properly, you’ll want to brush off all the excess gel off the brush and onto the neck of the bottle. To get that perfect first thin coat, you’ll want to make sure that hardly any polish is on the brush. Paint a thin coat, then cure in the lamp immediately for 30 seconds. The longer you expose your painted nail in the air, the higher chance it has to shrink the polish and peel, so make sure you cure after you paint right away. Then you can paint with a second thin coat and cure that as well. 4) If you’re finding your nails are too opaque after two thin coats, you can add more thin coats as you go to develop the color. What I like about Le Mini Macaron is that it’s completely DIY for great results! 5) Cure one finger at a time! The macaron shaped LED lamps are designed for this purpose - you can also do toes as well if you flip the lid around! 6) Apply a generous amount of cuticle oil and lotion after your newly painted nails for that salon quality look! It makes your nails look even better! I love Le Mini Macaron. This company was my first introduction to gel polish and I’ll never go back to regular nail polish ever again! If your nails are prepped and painted correctly, your nails can last up to two weeks and it’s so convenient to be able to do it from the comfort of your own home. LMM has truly changed my life! I hope it will change yours too!

Got this in hopes of saving some money instead of going and getting my nails done. The polish is ok. Mine chips after about a week and I have to redo them. The little led light is cute but it takes twice as long to do my nails because you can only use on one finger. Honestly it's better for on the go and touch ups if you need it.

I recently tried out the Le Mini Macaron Gel Nail Kit and overall, I had a really good experience—especially as a complete beginner to gel polish! The color Coconut Yogurt is beautiful and applied very evenly without streaks, which I really appreciated. The instructions were clear, and all the materials included in the kit were helpful. Since it was my first time applying gel polish, some of my layers ended up a little thicker on a few nails than others—but that was more of a learning curve issue on my end. The lamp worked well and dried the polish efficiently, even when I did my thumbs separately. One area for improvement would be the design of the nail polish cap. It wasn’t the easiest to grip, especially when trying to do thinner coats or apply polish to my non-dominant hand and thumbs. I also don’t keep my nails painted for long—usually just a week out of the month—and when it came time to remove the polish, I had mixed results. I liked that the remover pads smelled pleasant and not overly chemical, but even after filing the top layer, the strips didn’t fully remove the polish. I ended up with a bit of nail surface damage on two fingers. Despite those minor issues, I still really like this kit and would recommend it to beginners who want to dip their toes into at-home gel manicures. Just take your time and be gentle with removal!

I loved this product initially! Easy to use, convenient, long lasting manicure. Then I made the mistake of painting my nails on my covered porch on a 73 degree sunny day. The shrink wrap on the light melted and the light quit working 3 nails later. The product was not in direct sunlight and the temperature outside was warm but no hotter than room temperature hardly. Otherwise I love this product. I was issued a refund to repurchase as it isn’t eligible for exchange. When the new product arrives, assuming it is better quality (and not used outdoors) I will update my review to reflect only the true positives. My only con is that the cord is somewhat short depending on where you are doing your nails, but that is a very minor inconvenience.

This product is WORTH IT if you’re like me and could never do nails before. Le mini macaron is not flawless by any means, and it has its cons, but WOW to the pros of this product. I’m not being paid for this review, but if they want to send me free stuff, heck I’ll take it! I’m a fan!! For starters, I bought the white set because the white macaron is adorable. And it being Amazon, I figured if I didn’t like it, returns are easy. So about me, and maybe you can relate, too: I’d always skipped nail salons because of the time, commitment, money, smells, and the fact that my nails are HARD and grow fast. I use my hands for a living, so the few times I’d indulge at a nail salon, I’d be out $70 and days later have chipped polish, nail growth, and no real way to fix them because it was too expensive to keep up. Gel, dip, you name it — it always ended with the same disappointment. Doing it at home was impossible because I’m impatient and tired, and I can’t sit still for 30 minutes drying because inevitably… something will interrupt me, I smudge a nail, and I have to start over. Lather, rinse… repeat, laugh, cry! So on a splurge, I bought this. And I’m SO GLAD I DID. Let’s dive in. The milkshake white color? Disappointing, chalky, and streaky. Not a fan. And to effectively use this white, you MUST have at least four thin coats. Plus, the smell is a bit strong. While the white color didn’t quite look as nice as I anticipated, the magic of having nail polish C-O-M-pletely dry in 30 seconds (!!!) with the adorable LED lamp made 25+ years of nail polish failures disappear. The white was “just okay,” but the hope for crisp, tailored nail art? For the first time in my life, I understood the allure, the beauty, the possibilities... so I HAD to try another color formula. I bought three more colors at Target including rose buttercream (shown) and a pink one from Amazon! For the cost of ONE indulgent trip to the salon, I have the lamp, the cuticle pusher, the wraps, and five colors to last me for months. AND the other colors I’ve tried are smoother and less smelly, so if one color doesn’t suit you, TRY ANOTHER! The inside of the lamp is shiny metal, meaning the LED light bounces on the inside to fully harden the polish. No soft or forgotten edges. The lamp has to be plugged in to work. The cable is short, but it can also plug into your iPhone wall charger, making it versatile to plug into lots of places. The LED light is warm. I didn’t find it too hot, but it’s definitely not something you want to press your finger directly up against. Does the polish peel off easily? Yes it can! It hardens as a shell. If one corner doesn’t adhere fully because you skimped on your nail prep or it globbed to the skin, you need to fix the seam and add another layer to seal the whole nail. Otherwise the polish shell can peel off. And, you need to buff up your nail before applying that base coat to really make it stick. It’s not hard, but it takes a brief learning curve getting used to how to properly apply it. Do you need the wraps to remove the polish? Yes, regular nail polish remover doesn’t soften this. It’s special. It’s magic. Does the LED lamp work on other nail polishes? I tried it; it was NOT a success. Is it annoying to do one nail at a time? For a multitasker like me who can only spare one finger at a time… nope, it’s amazing! I hope this review helps you if you’re on the fence. If you have a good nail system, awesome! And if you’re like me who always avoided but secretly longed for that gorgeous manicure look… TRY THIS! And that milkshake white will be used up eventually, too — next time, I’m using it for French tips!
