Review: Definitely worth the purchase - One of the best batman stories Review: Intense, gripping and bloody... - This is one of the most intense, thrilling and pacy graphic novel that I have come across where Batman is battered, bruised and hurt and he fights to the pointnof exhaustion, perhaps death, to secure himself and his city. Scott Snyder has created an edge-of-the-seat stuff where the detective skills of Batman are eye catching and the the art by Capullo is great. I personally didn't like the small section where Batman fights in a labyrinth, where the reading format changes to landscape mode and then goes upside down. Perhaps that was a novel idea to show the current state of Batman but that section was a bit complex for me to comprehend. Nevertheless, this is a great Batman novel to have. This compact edition has one flaw, being small in dimension and text heavy, the fonts are very small. One may have trouble reading in lesser illuminated areas. Then again, this is a compact edition made affordable to the masses. To have this in much less than a thousand bucks gives nothing to complain about.

Worth every single dime!
Absolutely excellent product. I loved it. This is my first Batman comic in a long time. The reason the compact edition works so well is, it trades the signature comic book configuration, which is a larger format and acrylic paper setup for a manga style format, with smaller dimensions which makes it easier to carry around and also affordable. And the majorly, for a person who is just getting into comics and wants to read a complete story, the compact edition is absolutely the right choice. Super happy! Will be collecting the remaining 34 books in the series.

One of the best comic books I have read
This story opens with a seasoned Batman—years of experience behind him and cutting-edge technology at his disposal, both in his arsenal and through his lenses. The book presents Batman not only as the iconic hero we know, but also strongly emphasizes his role as a detective, as he meticulously investigates the existence and clues surrounding the Court of Owls. The narrative is rich with plot twists and subtle foreshadowing tied to Bruce Wayne’s past. The maze scene (you will know exactly what I mean once you read it) stands out as one of the most well-written comic panels I have ever encountered. This is one of—if not the best—Batman comics I have read so far.
