Not our first yeast product, maybe our favorite
I have ducks, so I have used several different yeast products, trying to keep them healthy. I sprinkle it over their food, and it disappears as they eat their food, just like it should. My hen mallard started showing difficulty in walking, she was off her feed, and I was afraid I was going to lose her. I was sure it was the vitamin B thing, but she just wasn't eating. This Fresh Eggs Daily arrived, and I prepared a special bowl of feed for her. She dove into it, like she hadn't seen food in days! I'm not going to tell you that this yeast product is amazingly different than all others, but I am telling you that my duck is eating it, and on the mend. She's still not walking quite normally, but she IS walking, and she is returning to her normal mouthy, bossy self. Perhaps the yeast I was using went bad, somehow? I've never heard of that happening, but I guess it can happen. This Fresh Eggs Daily is considerably more expensive than what I normally buy, but it's worth it, since it seems to have saved my duck! Five pounds will last me a long time! I prepare five food bowls each day for my poultry, and I'm putting a pinch of yeast on each bowl. I figure sometime in July or August, I'll be looking for another jar of yeast. As I say, expensive, but if it keeps my flock healthy, I'll pay. BTW, brewer's yeast is good for chickens as well, probably for any bird species you might keep. It definitely enriches the eggs, and you can tell the difference in the kitchen. The yolks are a richer golden color, and the eggs just taste better!

Ducks didn't complain, zero waddling disasters, total peace of mind
I bought Fresh Eggs Daily Brewer's Yeast with Garlic & Niacin specifically to sprinkle over my duckling feed. Commercial bagged waterfowl ration often lacks enough niacin for heavy growing ducklings, and having dealt with a duck with a lame leg in the past, I was determined not to go through that again. Is it scientific proof? Look, I am not running a clinical veterinary trial in my backyard coop. All I know is that the ducks gobbled it up without complaining about the garlic scent, and every single duckling grew into a bird with two fully functioning, non-lame legs. Maybe it was the extra niacin, or maybe it was just good luck. Either way, it gave me complete peace of mind, and my flock is thriving. I will definitely keep throwing this 1-pound jar in my rotation for every new brood.

This stuff works well!
This stuff works! Wish it was more costly but I have several chickens and ducks that are all laying consistently now. I struggled to even get 2 to 3 eggs daily out of 20 chickens for a few years and my ducks were getting angel wings but this stuff fixed those issues. Now I have been getting around 12 or more eggs almost everyday from my chickens and at least 7 duck eggs. Now I have so many eggs I at a loss of what to do with them all even with me selling some of them.

Great supplement for chickens
Works great mixed in with my chicken's feed pellets. I took one star off for packaging; it would be nice if the packaging were more environmentally friendly and would save a lot of space.

Great product!!!
This product has been amazing! Helped our sweet duck that has had a bad leg since she was born and made it very difficult for her to walk. She has since gotten stronger and can get around much better and gained weight. We feed her this twice a day with some peas and her regular food and she loves it. She is now able to do all the things the other ducks do. Also give it to our chickens and geese. Highly recommend!

My Girls get the best!
I've been following Lisa Steele of Fresh Eggs Daily now for over 8 years and she is my go to Chicken Guide for everything and anything my girls may need. I took her advice for supplemently their feed when I lost my first flock to premature deaths. They lived good lives, there is no denying that, but their lives were cut short for no apparent reason other than they weren't thriving and living into a ripe old age. Now, when I say they died prematurely, they lived 3 to 5 years but none of them lasted beyond that. If a chicken is kept at optimal health I feel that they should live quite a bit longer than that. I keep mine as pets, with all their own names and they all have highly though of as part of the family here. They each have unique personalities and I interact with them as much as possible. Every afternoon is treat time and it's always something different. From mealworms to greens and fruits our girls get a varied diet of treats to keep them well balanced. Of course these are just treats and as such are kept at a minimal amount. After treat time is their dinner time and they rush from their treat dish to their feeder in expectation of their mixed layer feed. I use all of Lisa's supplements, her brewers yeast, dried kelp and her newest one of probiotics. They all crowd around and try and get as much as they can. This is highly different reaction than that of their plain layer feed and I use a great brand and it offers all the basics. What these supplements can do for your flock is startling and I can see the results in my own chickens and have been feeding them The breakfast of Champions (Lisa's own layer feed mix additions) for years now. I add her supplements, oats, organic scratch, meaty sunflower seeds, organic food grade de and more to give them the tools they need to thrive with good healthy respitory systems, strong bones and ultimate immune systems. I am grateful for Lisa Steele and all her books and what she has given me as a chicken keeper. She is a hero in my eyes. Debra and "The Lovely Ladies of the Coop"

Great to add to the feed
Used it for our chickens! Seemed to work great. We received some chickens for what we believed to be a not so great home. We put the Brewers yeast in the feed and they bounced back to healthy chickens!
