Game night just dropped a new boss
We had an absolute blast trying the Final Boss Extremely Super Sour Candy as a family. I ordered this on a whim, thinking it would just be a fun little treat, but it turned into a whole event in our house. My husband and I sat down with the kids, opened a few packs, and took turns guessing which level of sour we’d get. The reactions were priceless, everything from scrunched up faces and wide eyes to full-on belly laughs. What I really appreciate is that these are made with dried fruit and no artificial colors, so I didn’t feel guilty letting the kids join in. The flavors are surprisingly bold, and even though they are low calorie, they don’t taste like anything was sacrificed. Each level of sourness is distinct, and the "Final Boss" ones definitely live up to the name. My husband made the mistake of popping one without reading the label and was instantly in tears from laughter (and a bit of pucker). This would be a perfect little game night treat or stocking stuffer. It’s not just candy. It’s an experience, and one we’ll be repeating.

Delicious
These snacks are really good and low calorie. The sour scale is pretty accurate. I’ve enjoyed all the flavors.

Awesome snack; only downside is price
Great product overall. Both my wife and I are huge snackers, and we particularly love gummies. I've seen ads for Final Boss Sour for quite some time and finally decided to pull the trigger and certainly not disappointed. We tried the sampler pack -- 27 packs, 9 of each fruit, 3 of each level of sour. Great flavor, really good level of sours from level 1 to level 3, in particular if you're in a household where some people enjoy more sour than others. There's something for everyone. While all three flavors were great, strawberry was our favorite (though that's not to take away anything from the other two flavors, which are also great). My only "complaint," and the only reason I did not give this a perfect 5-star review, is the price. Fully appreciate this is more than just sugar and is made with actual fruit, which inevitably costs more than your average candy. But close to $2/pack is a bit pricey and makes it difficult to be able to purchase on a more frequent basis. In my view, if the company is able to continue to work on getting its costs down to a point where they can routinely sell for closer to $1/pack, that would be a game changer and would enable a lot of customers to purchase on a more frequent basis/more as an every day snack replacement. Edit: Revising my prior 4-star to a 5-star review. As mentioned above, the price, in my view, is currently a bit high for this to make it into my usual snack rotation, but I had full knowledge of that going into the purchase so don't think it's completely fair to the Company to ding them for that as part of my product review. My point stands that, if they're able to cut down costs and routinely sell for closer to $1/pack, they would attract more first time customers and also repeat customers.

Sweet strawberries and Salty Blueberries. Cranberries are in the middle!
I got the Variety pack just to see what flavors i would like. I also bought some for my friends at the office. Longstoryshort, levels 1-3 are enjoyable deoending on the fruit. Strawberry packs are super enjoyable because the fruit has enough sweetness to counter the sourness. Cranberry is a little more sour because of it being a little less sweet than the strawberry. Blueberries are SALTY, then sour, then a tiny bit of sweetness. As far as sourness goes, level 1 is comfortable enough to eat on the regular. Level 2 is a step up for sure, level 3 is really sour. For all three levels, this isn't something you can eat fast like sour skittles or other typical sour candy you find on the shelf. You definitely have to take your time with it. Additionally, they use the same sour coating as other mainstream candies which is Malic Acid (and also citric acid). Eating more than one pack within an hour may cause issues, especially if you deal with acid reflux or other issues. I drank some water to wash it all down and I was okay. As far as the fruit goes, strawberries are 100% the best! 5 out of 5 stars all 3 levels of sour. They're big and they have a lot of sweetness that offsets the sour ones. Level one strawberry packs will be gone in no time! Cranberries at all levels are a challenge to eat honestly. If you've ever had Crasins before, its basically the same but with the sour coating. Cranberries arent as sweet so the sourness hits harder than with the strawberry. If you're looking for the sour challenge, this is it. Level one is comfortable enough to enjoy. Level 3 is rough, enjoy over time. Blueberries are a no-go, too salty for some reason?? Dried blueberries in general are REALLY small (regardless of where you buy em from) so you dont get a lot of sweetness to offset the sour like with strawberries. Additionally because of their size, the sour coating takes over the flavor MORE. Also for whatever reason you can taste SALT before you taste any sourness or sweetness. The salt is REALLY strong and off-putting at all 3 levels since its mixed with the acidity of the sour coating and the berries being so tiny when dried. But oddly enough, i did not have this issue with cranberries or strawberries. The strawberry packs are gonna fly off the shelves for sure.

Strawberries ok, blueberries/cranberries boring
I got the 27 pack with the options being blueberry, strawberry, and cranberry. I gotta be honest, this really isn't a candy. I was expecting a lot more sugar or some kind of infusion to make the fruit have more of a candy consistency. Cranberries were like the craisins from Oceanspray. The blueberries are the same, they're blueberry raisins. If you wanted to make this at home you'd just go buy that and pour some Citric Acid Powder on 'em. That being said the strawberries are not bad, they reflect more what I thought I was buying. Sadly, you only get like 7 berries in the little pouches, and each strawberry is small as it was dehydrated. Well, I wasn't impressed, but I will say I like craisins so this wasn't an unwelcome experience. 3 stars because the strawberries were good. 2 stars without the strawberries.
