Squatty Potty Original Bathroom Toilet Stool 17.78 cm (7 Inches) - White

We’re working blind here, choosing items based on genuine reviews and being guided by others as to whether something is worth taking a gamble on. I did just that in this case. I am having a lot of back and knee trouble and recently purchased a raised toilet seat (also from here, based on good reviews). But (tmi coming up) the poo evacuation slide was coming down at the wrong angle. I was higher and anatomy was not working as it should be. I was having to use more and more loo paper to wipe clean. So I went to good old Amazon and saw glowing reviews for this squattie pottie. A few days in all I can say is that it has lived up to the good reviews. I’m very short but it suits me fine, the angle of poo evacuation is now perfect, it pushes far back and is unobtrusive when not in use. I think this is an excellent item and am happy to recommend it.

The item is based on the concept of natural posture which has been the norm since Stone Age. I was looking for an item like this to enable a better and comfortable experience as the usual position in the toilet isn't the best and can lead to haemorrhoids if bowel movements are not too smooth. The SquattyPotty is definitely a good investment and does the job.It may be a bit difficult for new users,however once used a few times, this seems like a must have.People have often criticised the squatting toilets in South East Asian countries. This has even been one of the mocking points on Top Gear during the trip to India.However,such ignorant people do not realise why such toilets are still widely used even with major developments.I have used them several times at my house in India where we have a combination of both the squatting and the WC and opt to use the squatting one most of the time. The item here is good and once confident,perhaps the best way to use it is to lift the toilet seat up,then squat completely on the SquattyPotty with all the weight on the legs.The feet positioning markings do not have to be followed because to balance oneself it requires the toes pointing outwards,so ignore the markings on the unit wherein the toes point inwards. All in a good buy and quite durable with an option to easily clean. It definitely helps to alleviate pain caused due to haemorrhoids.

Not what you'd typically spend your time reviewing but well worth a shout. A lot of people elsewhere may have gripes about how this method is different to how we are raised (standard sitting on the toilet) but if you look at the video intro on their website it explains exactly why this works a charm. For anyone elderly or who suffers from constipation this is a lifesaver. Without getting into to much detail you poop faster because your colon is straight so it should exit pretty quickly. You also won't need to push as hard so avoids the risk of piles and straining. Yes you could you a standard stool for elevation but do you want to be carrying one in and out every time? My bathroom is pretty small so this slides under perfectly without getting in the way. Highly recommend.

I bought this in part because of the apparent health benefits and in part because of their brilliant marketing campaign! To be honest, I've never really had any issues in this department but I was interested to see if all the claims were true. Without going into too much detail, I noticed a slight improvement but arguably not massive. That said, maybe someone who suffered from the ailments this is marketed at may notice more benefit. In terms of my experience, it encourages quite a novel seating position and one that I in many ways find more comfortable. It is, however, a bit of a burden having to remove most clothes to use it - no more trousers around the ankles with this! The product itself is very sturdy so no concerns of it breaking any time soon. It does, however, look a little strange seeing a "potty stool" in an adult bathroom and does lead to some interesting questions when people see it! In conclusion, it is quite expensive for what it is but I will continue to use it as I find it comfortable and it could have preventative benefits in the long term.

I freely admit that I thought this was a gimmick and a bit of a joke item. If i'm honest part of me bought it as a joke but being absolutely honest a large part bought it in the vein hope that it performed all of the miraculous things other reviewers had promised. I suffer with IBS along with thousands of other people, the review that gripped me most and was the decider was a fellow sufferer commenting that this helped. Without going into detail. It does. Oh boy it does! As many people who suffer with IBS will know, you can often get the feeling of needing to go again straight after, like there is something left. You never feel truly "clear". This feeling in turn leads to straining and then piles and all sorts of horrid consequences not to mention spending hours per day on the loo! I can honestly say with the Squatty Potty that I have enjoyed the most fulfilling and quickest poo that I ever remember! I will admit that it is a little cumbersome to get into position and I did end up removing underwear to make it easier 9I hope with time to be able to do with without needing to remove panties!) Once you get yourself into position all it takes is the slightest intent and gravity does the rest. There is no effort! No straining, no feeling of a bit more. It's all over and done with in moments! Heck, my tripes would be 15-30 minutes each time! I used to keep my Kindle in there and read to pass the time, well bathroom books no more! Whatever will I do with all of this extra time? I know, spend all the money I save on books and toilet paper! Just buy one, you won't regret it!

I purchased this due to several reasons. I have irritable bowel syndrome and suffer chronic constipation. Due to having irritable bowel syndrome and suffering constipation tend to look for help/support. I gabve three stars because I find the squatty potty helps make going to the toilet a little more comfortable due to the squat position. Its easy wipe clean, strong and sturdy and its design and shape enables it to push and rest up neatly against the toilet, therefore not in the way. The advertising and reviews is and are excellent, and when suffering issues with bowel movement, I (and many of us) tend to look or come across a product, aid etc that would or will give help and support towards better health. Due to suffering constipation for years after the birth of my first Daughter (cesarean born), I saw my GP and hospital Consultant and was told that I had a sluggish bowel and part of the symptoms of irritable bowel. Change of various recommended diets and combined exercise made some change but not much. Eventually, I was prescribed laxatives. I always hoped that a good diet and keeping active would benefit and I would never have to rely on laxatives. I started off with the 7" and chose the Ecco version for visual and practical reasons. On initially using the squatty potty it only took a little while to adjust and get use to being in the squat position but sadly I didnt see any difference or change in my bowel when going to the toilet. I then opted for the 9" as I found it gives more of a true squat than the 7". I have been using the squatty potty for nearly 2 months. I had stopped taking laxatives. However, I had to revert back to taking laxatives as I struggled with my constipation. The only benefit I found was the position of going to the toilet made things a bit more comfortable with trying to go. I feel the use and outcome of using the squatty potty will vary from person to person. There will be some like myself who have bowel issues or problems that may get great, little or no benefit. Each of us is an individual and what works for one wont necessarily work for another and or the outcome.

This really is excellent - I was sent mine as a gift and I’ve since bought several more for friends. It increases the volume of each motion (you really feel empty after) so reduced the frequency. It also the amount of wiping. Every dream come true? Aside from doing what’s it’s meant to with excellent effect, an added benefit is the positive impact it’s had on my posture. I’ve had lower back pain for years and the daily supported squatting has helped relieve the pressure on my lower back. The only criticism I have is the name - personally I would have called it the Stool Stool... Would highly recommend

This product is amazing. Strong and solid been using mine for 3 years now and is still in great condition. Also very discreet and looks good around the loo. Simple but effective so I'm very pleased. I recommend

Visto che la posizione "seduta" è causa di emorroidi e sititchezza nel mondo occidentale, meglio trovare un'alternativa all'installazione nelle proprie case di un water alla turca o alla giapponese, di difficile reperibilità e notevole scomodità.

Sturdy and a new, better experience for me. All these years I made fun of squat toilets in far-off countries but it really is a relief and this allows you to enjoy the best of two worlds.

Top tier invention. I sit down and poops come out less than a minute. Yes, I have fiber in my diet, but the result is so different without this. It will take me very long time to poop it out without it.
